I thought Raid 2 went places pure action movies never have before. There's some bold decisions in that movie which pay off big time and they're not even related to the action set-pieces.

Did not like The Raid 1 or 2. The cheap doors, low budget, the set pieces ... watchable, but nothing else. Best action film? Hell no, still better than Police Story 4.

Overrated, compared to classics with Chow Yun-Fat, Jackie Chan, Samo-Hung or Yuen Biao.
