I'm still having a blast, however. The sniper rifle is really cool, too. I love curving the bullet upwards at the last second to score a headshot. feelsgoodman.jpg. I can never get them in the balls though. Their legs are always in the way, and it doesn't register from behind, so I guess none of the enemies are low danglers? lol
Ew, Bulletstorm had an online pass on consoles? That sucks =/ Was hoping we could try the horde mode sometime, but I'm playing it on PC.

You know what else is awesome? Sliding into enemies and flinging them up in the air for a headshot. ALSO, THE THUMPER. YESSSSS. I never really used it, but when I did, it was magical.

I can never get them in the balls, either =/ Not sure how we're supposed to do it.

Omg, fck that sniper rifle. It hated me. That one part I went through every bit of ammo and only had 2 bullets left because all the enemies thought they were Bayonetta or something.
Was it
7-1? Because that area gave me so much trouble. It was a courtayrd-looking area where a bunch of the bosses came out at different intervals, and the enemies kept cheapshotting me :( Fucking hate the green guys. Or was it the huge plant boss? I ran out of ammo there, too...almost. 2 bullets left when I finished D:

It was in the prison when Serrano was behind a gate, that forced sniping section with enemies really far away shooting at you. I couldn't aim worth crap. And they totally knew there were explosives behind them because I shot those first. They made sure to stay as far away from the explosions as possible. I actually thought the other sections you mentioned were pretty fun. xD

Ohhh, that part, haha.
That part was fun, too :P I missed a few shots there, even though I almost always hit. I called BS :P But you're right, those other parts were fun, too ;)

What do you play it on? Consoles? :(

Bulletstorm was definitely my favourite shooter in recent memory.

Still 2011 here... I just want to say that this has been an interesting and fun year: the good, the bad, the drama, the tears, the laughter... everything.

I enjoy reading most of you guys, hope your new year starts positively and more and good things come along for everybody!

I love your new picture. :D

Thanks <3

Yeah online passes fucking suck. I'm also going to borrow Batman Arkham City, and I won't be able to play any of the Catwoman missions because of the online pass. Ugh. I understand that it deters people from buying used, pirating, etc. but it also punishes all the borrowers. :(

I didn't know sliding into an enemy sent them up in the air, and I only realized while playing today that the Thumper used ammo. I kept trying to activate it, but when it didn't work I figured it was a glitch. I swear...But when it does work, it is really awesome.

Heh.

Sister is hanging out with her friends down the street, and one of them took her Wii and another brought a copy of Just Dance 3. Sure enough they call me because they're having issues with the Wii. Anyway, I had to go down there and let them borrow my own Wii. While there I had three tequila shots, 2 mango shots, and one jello shot.

I figured I'd be nice and go along with their requests since it's New Year's :P The tequila shots weren't bad with the spice salt/lime. They were probably my "favorite." Not a fan of the burp flavor :( Will probably reheat some pizza :D

Not that ever stopped me in the past. Or anyone else for that matter.

It's not as "ZOMG underage drinking!!11!" as it seems to be in the US.

Edit: And happy new year, girls.

Is there a drinking age in the world outside Italy? Ah ah

Happy New Year dudes! The UK can be a bit annoying as shops will ask you for ID if you look under 25. I'm always getting asked.

Was harder to find vodka here in Montreal as it seems only government owned shops sell them and 1 of them wouldn't sell it to my dude as I forgot my ID. I know it's silly but a small part of me wished he was in a club somewhere until 5AM like back in London. Instead of going to sleep wasted at about 1AM.

I need to post less in 2012

Will be spending NYE drinking beer with family (including FoneBone) in the giant strip mall that is the San Diego suburbs. Well, at least I had a lot of fun in Hillcrest earlier this week.
I'm risking my life posting here, but the curiosity is killing me. Are you two in a relationship? I need some deets.

Anyway,
to not be too much off topic, it'd be nice to have a suggestion from you about my personal crush. Since it's a tricky situation, it's difficult to talk with other people, also because in the last two years I've been very busy from an academic point of view. Well, I think I love my professor. The one with whom I'm writing the thesis. The fact is that I'm often in his office, and we're starting to have a more informal relationship, and it grows in me. I mean, he's really, really handsome, and he's also smart. But he's nice with me -I think he must be nice with everyone though- and I think he likes me -probably as a son, ah ah- but I have to spend at least 6 months further because of the project we're working. Did someone here have a situation like this in the past? Or even nowadays :P

Honestly, I would just let this go and focus on your studies.

It's not unusual to become friends with your supervisor, or for your supervisor to go out of his or her way to help you. I wouldn't read too much into the situation on the basis that he is acting friendly towards you; some of my friends will go out for lunch and drinks with their supervisors.

Good luck with your dissertation! Dyu mind if I ask what degree you're working toward?

I dont really know where else to post this, so I'll ask here on the off-chance somebody will have some thoughts to share. I need to get a laptop for uni, and I've been eyeing up a MacBook. I've never had a Mac before, and to be honest, I'm not sure why I'm thinking of going with Apple this time round, haha.

Anyways, is it true that MacBooks generally have a higher build-quality than other brands? Also, I always thought that Macs were better on the security front, but from a night of googling, it sounds as though Windows might actually be better in terms of avoiding viruses and stuff. I am extremely paranoid about security, so this would be a big deal for me.

Oh, and happy New Year everybody! My 2012 is starting on a massive downer after watching Eastenders tonight :P .

Macs have a really good build quality, you need to do some serious damage if you want to break down a unibody MacBook Pro. That's what you pay for since you know, they're expensive. And as far as security goes, Macs are safer since there are far less Mac viruses and bugs and stuff compared to Windows.

The past few days leading up to 2012 had been pretty amazing so far minus a few college pains. I hope that's a good sign for what's to come. I really wish I wasn't at work right now though -___-. I'm on my break.

What do you need it for? If you just need to use word processor and similar software then it might not be worth spending a lot of money on a Macbook. I needed to use iMac during my last year but that is because I had a module where I needed to develop apps.

The security bit is a plus as there are less attacks on Apple hardware but you can always get good security software if you get a laptop. Just make sure to check the battery life if you need to use it without a charger. Also not sure if you are aware but you should be able to get a student discount with companies like Dell and Apple. I got a good £40 off when I got a laptop from Dell.

But it's completely up to you. Think of how you will use it and which option will benefit you the most. :)

I have a macbook pro and the quality and weight of the aluminum 'feels' better than whatever plastic most other laptops have. I imagine it can fall of my desk and survive. I've never had any issues with viruses on my mac. Previously, I had a PC that died twice because of viruses.

Oh, we DO have 366 days this year...

Thanks for the Mac replies guys, appreciate it!

I'm going to go into town during the week and check out a bunch of Windows laptops in person, and then decide.

The laptop market has to be one of the most confusing out there!

As a counter-argument, I have an iMac with a DVD drive that is beyond worthless. I don't know if it's also an issue with Macbooks. Mine ate a South Park DVD for a month or so and finally let me have it back recently after I tried every method in the book to get it out during the first couple of weeks. Now every time my computer starts up, the DVD drive goes into a frenzy that sounds like a woodpecker. So borked. :(

I really like the OS (still using Snow Leopard since Diablo II doesn't work with Lion). It does a lot of neat things that I always miss when I go back to Windows for whatever reason. It also does a lot of annoying things. I haven't tried anything that's 100% perfect for me yet. I admit I think I'd need a lot of help before even considering something Linux-related. Probably going to keep buying Macs, though.
