This is cute. Congrats! :3So I had almost forgotten it was Valentine's today, and when I texted good morning to my boyfriend he told me this:
Aaaah! I melted so much reading this! We don't really mind Valentine's because the "real" lovers celebration in Catalunya is during St. George. But like I've said before, it's a day to be extra-sweet with your partner
He'll likely read this and tell me I shouldn't have shared with you guys E: But I just love him so much, and he means so much to me! We're going to move in together in August, too, after 4 years of a distance relationship! So it's a big year for us.

I watched a bit of those Kaya videos you linked, damn that is one glamorous man, haha! I'll make sure to check out more of their back catalogue, it's just so pricey. Some of these guys have amazing voices alright. Then you have bands like Nightmare and The Gazette who I listen to more for the music than the singers vocal talent (as their vocalists are nothing special really).
Yeah it is very hard to get their CD's here but it seems lately more and more J-Rock acts are playing Europe and getting music distribution deals. I missed out on Miyavi when he played London as I didn't have the funds - now that is a man who can play guitar.

No real plans for tonight, maybe dinner this weekend. Flowers were delivered to his job yesterday by mistake but he appreciated getting them a day early. All the women in his office were jealous. I did buy him another gift that I'll give him tonight. Not sure what he has planned, because the last two years the florist he used never got me my flowers on vday it was always a few days later. He said he would never use them again and wants to one up me...we'll see.

It's great that you still care for her that much, but as long as you're not bringing guys home, I don't think it's such a terrible thing if you hang out and have meals with those that you feel there's something worth pursuing. Up to you though, I mean if it's just a couple of weeks and you're not in a hurry, nothing wrong with waiting either.

Why? Do you hate him? You haven't had fun going out with him before? Is he a bad guy? If not, then there's no harm. While the fact that you call him an ex means that he's still an ex and not a friend in your mind, it doesn't mean you can't have a good time. I mean, there's a reason you dated him in the first place

Thanks guys! Like I tell most of my friends and family, it isn't as hard as it may seem, because we don't argue much and we are always going in the same direction, but when we do, it makes everything "harder" to solve. It also helps the fact that we are very honest with each other about everything (something we agreed when we started going out), and not playing games with each other. I also feel I've matured a lot in these four years, he's opened my eyes to many things and has helped me being less naive (I'm way too innocent at times, lol).
He really is the man of my life, and it just feels "right" when we're together. We can spend hours together, without saying a word and still be close. It's hard to explain but I really love him and I really hope we can age together!

Bad idea cuz there are still unresolved feelings there, which are painful. We' ll probably end up in bed too, which is a terrible idea but it's been lonely.

In my case it's just because it's 2 blocks from my apartment so it's super handy. I was also the only one there this morning so I was in and out pretty quickly.

I still haven't had the chance to see any J-Rock acts but I'll admit I don't know all that many of them. I have seen two bands from Japan which were Asobi Seksu and Mono which were both absolutely amazing but those would be under different classifications of music.

Maybe you just live around more assholes than I do, but I've never noticed this. Certainly people like to make pretty conspicuous PDAs on Valentine's, it being the holiday for such gestures, but I've never known a single person who has done it to rub it in the face of those who are single. I imagine it's kind of like what the homophobe sees: when you're sensitive to it, a person's just living their life can sometimes look like rubbing it in your face, when they're conspicuous about it.

Well just like Christmas it's a holiday that is completely commercialised but it wasn't invented by companies. The roots of the holiday, just like with most holidays, are with pagan celebrations, in this case the Roman festival Lupercalia, a day of werewolves, blood and fucking basically. Then you have the legend of Saint Valentine himself who was apparently persecuted for marrying Catholic couples and subsequently executed trying to convert a Roman Emperor.
I know I'm being pedantic but I think the origins of holidays are really interesting. We humans and our weird traditions.

Disastrous Valentine's Day, being forever alone and all I decided to clean the house thoroughly, hanging up new curtains and what not, and when I vaccuumed, I got 2 pretty big shocks from the pipe that my arm pretty much felt like it was on fire.
Oh well, there's always next year, can't be worse at least.
