Wasn't there supposed to be a 2D Kirby game released on the GameCube this year? Have we heard anything new about it?

I thought it was 3D.

It was apparently due back in June but now delayed. With the absence of Zelda this year in Japan, this might be the game Nintendo needs there for the holidays.

3D graphics, 2D gameplay, as far as I knew. Like the N64 Kirby game or SSBM.

They had a video of it in their loop at E3, you can get it around the web (IGN, Gamespot, etc). It looked good. EBgames has it listed for Nov 15th. Their release dates are as reliable as they get in this business. Maybe it'll actually come out this year...

Yeah it looks awesome. Can't wait to play it especially if it has 4 players co-op.

But I think Matt IGNCube said the game is coming out next year, after Zelda.
