Finished road trip and started NG+ to get the real ending. Man this game started out as "wtf is this, why i wasted 70 euros" and now im loving it. Its just a dopamine rush game. Every sound, every effect, everything you do just feels satisfying. Too bad about the online population but tbh i dont even feel any difference playing againts a bunch of bots, its still fun af
I'll give a review. I've bought it and played through the road trip one time. It has a crazy story lol.
It's weird, the way the game pushes you through the road trip mode is HIGHLY addicting even though the game isn't that fun. Like it's barely a collection of mini games and a few real races. These mini games wouldn't even be good enough for an old game boy game. But yet these guys are masters of the " just one more " carrot on a stick methodology.
It's such a bad game mixed with the carrot on stick gameplay that it actually would make me mad that I was still playing lol.
This has been my go to game every night to unwind, play a couple ranked races then move on. Shame its getting harder to find full matches outside of JPN prime time.
The AI they use to fill spots don't keep up so its never as hectic as a full player race.
My brother raves about this game. This is what he purchased a Switch 2 for. No Mario Kart, not Donkey Kong but Air Riders. I don't have it but looking at these comments here and there I just might jump in. Seems like one of those games that is just very different than it's contemporaries so it can be off putting at first. However once you understand what the game asks of you it really shines. That's my interpretation anyway.
