"Weight to the guns" is not a good justification for the prolonged existence of a franchise. Just create a universe that people actually care about and add weight to the guns.

I say "Just create a universe" as though it were an easy thing - and you know what? Creating a more compelling universe than Killzone would absolutely be an easy thing.

Whether you care about Killzone or not is irrelevant to the discussion and whether the series continues or not. Millions of people purchase the games and will continue to do so.

Too many times people extrapolate their own personal taste and project onto others, despite the fact that there is clear numbers out there (Google Search away) indicating the opposite.

I used to be a huge ES fan, and although Skyrim is pretty, it didn't hold me too long. It didn't help that I just finished getting the Platinum for Dark Souls, so the combat in Skyrim bored me to tears.

Id still play that though. GoT universe is awesome. Dragons, giants, pissed off people, and boobs, what more do you need?

I'm not a huge ES fan any more either, but it could be damn good.
