Honestly I don't think we're getting a bigger megaton than The Last Guardian being reintroduced and/or a big Capcom game going exclusive. And even those can't be taken for granted. I hope that people still realize that the rest are just personal dreams :D

TLG or DMC5 aren't titles that will "shock the internet", though DMC5 might be the "exclusive title that will make many fans angry."

DMC5? Eh, yeah it won't shock the internet. But TLG would most definitely shock the internet. If that made a reappearance after all these years, people would lose their minds.

Seeing as it's a celebration of PlayStation's 20th, as long as the thread makes it to 20,000 posts and 2,000,000 views then all the hype will have been worth it because......um......2 and stuff....

stealth edit: if they could announce 20,000 sold to retail and Knack 2 that'd be great

what sound does the hype train make "chuga chuga 2...2...chuga chuga 2...2''

also I might be retarded.. the end

if the surprise is street fighter or Resident Evil, I'll cry myself to sleep.

because fuck fighters and fuck resident evil. You've had your games.
I'm not a fan of combo fighters like Street Fighter, so I'd be a bit disappointed if that is one of the big reveals. I kind of like Resident Evil though. The hype is dead if it goes super action oriented though.

Pretty sure when this weekend ends, this thread will have more than 20,000 posts and 2,000,000 views.

Let's hope Sony announce this feat at the PSX event.

I really hope The Order or Bloodborne can convince me at their event.

And to be honest, I think I would be disappointed no matter what if Sony don't revive an old PS1 IP on Saturday.

I'm also hugely interested in Horizon but it being from Guerrilla Games and being in third person dampens my interest a bit.

Looks amazing, but how does it play??

read my mind, graphically it looks like one of the best game made on current gen hardware. However impressions of gameplay have worried me so i hope they can pull off a locked framerate and gameplay that doesnt get stale to fast.

Why?

I don't understand the concern about The Order.

It seems to be a "linear, cinematic third person shooter that heavily combines set pieces and interactive cutscenes with stand cover based shooting"

That is also an exact description of Uncharted, yet no one is worried about Uncharted 4.

It's not that hype is dead, it's just, well, nothing to really talk about new till the expo starts.

Things I want to see:

That gray ps4 controller will be sold separately. Would be a nice thing for us early adopters who can't shell out for the very limited gray ps4.

Gravity Rush HD for ps4, with Gravity Rush 2 coming to ps4 and vita in 2015.

Things i'd really like to see:

Ps1/2 emulation coming to ps4 in 2015, details to follow.

At least one dead IP coming back (Dark Cloud, War of the monsters, Legend of Dragoon, Wild arms, Syphon Filter, or Colony Wars).

Sony Platinum headset, as a upgrade/replacement for the pulse elites. We're talking Astro levels of quality here.

Price drop on ps4, Vita.

Update on TLG.

Doubt much any of that will come to pass though.

...because the IP and game is unproven?

We also have heard about more horror type gameplay that I think will separate it from your standard TPS. I'm hoping for some stealthy scenarios like TLOU where your enemies can make quick work of you when spotted.

I hope they have something great to show.

Im really starting to feel The Order is going to rock people's socks off. I so badly want this game to do great and get greenlit for sequels. The concept is too promising!

I just love the setting, the art style, the atmosphere and the lycans. And also: Nikola Tesla is in the game, supplying them with fancy gadgets and crazy weapons.

And Shinobi also said that the bullet damage and gore will be insane. I love it when developers don't hold back on that stuff. One of the many reasons I liked playing TLOU was that the melee combat was so brutal and the shotgun, oh man. blowing limbs and heads off up close was so satisfying.

I get that but people are saying "the gameplay looks boring", which has nothing to do with the IP.
What's an IP without a successful product which represents it? The Order on paper has been well-received. People like the setting, the atmosphere, character and weapon designs, and the overall tone and aesthetic. But those things don't make a game good or even a compelling story by themselves.
