He lived a good life (95) and had a prolific career in Hollywood. He was nominated for 5 Oscars and won twice. Some notable movies in his acting career were Hoosiers, Unforgiven, The Quick and the Dead, Superman, The French Connection, The Firm, Crimson Tide, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Replacements, and countless others. He was a great actor. Rest in Peace.

The police didn't believe that foul play was a factor. We already know it wasn't natural causes and if there was no foul play involved this wasn't a suicide pact. A gas leak would explain both the husband and wife and the dog dying at the same time.

Besides that, this is a loss to Hollywood. The man was a force of nature from the late sixties up to the nineties,

This is a very good advice. Monoxide detectors are mostly 10€ extra on top of a regular smoke detector, no reason not to have them.

I never followed his career aside from remembering him in movies off the top of my head for Superman and Quick and the Dead. Didn't know he was 95. So when he did those old Superman movies he was actually already around 50-55 years old while Christopher Reeve was about 30.
