Teasers keep getting better but we need more! Can't wait to see gameplay.

I can't wait for this. Tokyo Xtreme Racer is one of my favorite racing series of all time.

If you love Genki games go out there and get the translation that came out recently for Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix. It's basically if Genki made Gran Turismo mixed with TxR/Wangan Midnight on a smaller scale.

hell yeah!

Gameplay!

I like what I saw and the sense of the speed is awesome.

however i hope there is another camera view that is a bit far, can't see half of the street ahead because of the camera is too close.

still day one for me. just to show support.

Agree that the camera needs work. I never use chase cams so I'm hoping there's at least a hood or bumper cam because I'm not expecting cockpit cams. Also don't like that camera shake at all.

Still day one no matter what.

I like the camera shake, its what gives the sense of speed and that any small mistake and its over. kinda adrenaline rush.

Pretty excited about this which probably speaks to the current state of arcade racers these days.

Gameplay!

Looks cool, a bit like it's a remaster of the second game. Not really showing any turns, hope there's some drifting system somewhere in there, Idk how they went from Saturn Drift King 97's excellent, fun yet unwieldy and risky drifting to nothing at all in the first few Xtreme games.

I get they aren't drifting games but just from a gameplay fun factor standpoint it would have elevated the games without really changing that they're all about the car specs if you're gonna win at all.

Other than all those 10 second car/rival/etc. teasers they've also released this trailer. Looking ace.

I got early access as well.

Was told to not stream the game so I assumed that also meant no videos. Some people are posting screens though. Really not sure what's allowed and what isn't.
Silent mentioned in a comment you can't change camera angle but that was to someone asking about the exterior view in particular finding the default too rigid (it's ok, it's distinct) is there no "first person" (even if you can't see the cockpit or anything else) with a mirror like at least TXR 2?

Also guessing no drifting like the first few games, yeah?

"Genki has announced Tokyo Xtreme Racer, its first new console racing game in 18 years. It will launch for PC via Steam in 2025 with English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language support."

So what consoles is it coming too?
on secret console of Sega and Nvidia

You can't circle around the car with the right stick but you can use it to look left/right/back. So you can see the sides and front of the car but can't circle freely.

There are two exterior chase cams, the traditional first person with virtual mirror (which you can toggle on/off) and a new hood cam.

Drifting doesn't seem to be a thing, but I haven't tried it. Maybe with proper tuning of the vehicles.

Game is fun? A good arcade racing?

If you liked the old ones, you're going to love this. If you haven't played them, I would definitely recommend it.

This could end up being my personal GOTY but I have been a fan of the series for a long time.

This game is the real deal. Already have over 30 hours on it in less than a week.

The glory days of gaming are back. I really hope Genki gets all the support they deserve.

Silent seems to have done a Digital Foundry style breakdown of the graphics and how the game performs and wrote up a full article about it on his blog.

Yet another example of Unreal Engine 5 allowing middle market developers to punch well above their weight.

I'm totally shocked by the positive impressions. I will be picking it up on release. It's been so long I just kind of assume cynicism when these old franchises come back.

I had faith, Genki never miss!

At least when making racing games[/spoiler]
