LOL... I've always wanted a cockpit setup for my racing games but this is a bit much :lol

I must admit I've used my motorcycle helmet when I played Moto GP 2 and it was awesome.

with the time and money spent on building that horrible horrible contraption, why not just take a weekend of REAL LIFE racing school? its like a couple hundred bucks for 2 or 3 days. my god thats pathetic.

Real life racing schools are more expensive than that, I'm pretty sure. There's a rally racing school around here that's like $600 for a day......with only 1-2 hours of actual time driving.

This setup is too cool! When I found out GT4 was releasing on the 22nd, I purchased a DFP, found the perfect table for it, and rearranged my entire living room for maximum GT4 racing action. No game has excited me more than GT4 in recent months... this guy is obviously in the same boat.

haha those pics are a bit overkill for even some of the fanatics Im sure, but whatever turns your key. Ive had my DFP for a while now and my little folding table has been fine tuned for hairpins. I just bought a USB memory stick for pics so I think Im ready to go. its funny I was in Wal Mart today and they has some chairs in this one aisle and the first thing I thought was "perfect for the DFP.

is anyone else under the impression that whoever took these pics races cars in some form either for fun or competition and just happened to have a roll cage around and decided to do this just for fun? I think some people are overreacting to the pics and to the motivation as to why someone would do something like this for a game.

It's clearly an existing roll cage or frame from something else, I doubt anyone would make that full frame just to hold a seat and wheel/pedals.

I wrecked my car at the start of the month, then when I got it back, I had the crazy idea of taking out one of the seats and using it for my GT4 comfort.

Well, the seat is pretty comfortable on the floor, I just need something to clamp the steering wheel to and a place to rest the pedals.

I think the roll cage is a bit much, though.

Okay, I can understand a decent racing seat and wheel, but what in the holy hell is the cage for!?
