FUCKING. THIS.

This is the best Ghost Rider movie a fan of Ghost Rider will ever get.

It was fucking amazing.

Nic Cage is great as Johnny Blaze.

Idris Elba as Moreau is great.

Christopher Lambert
has a sword! ZOMG HIGHLANDER!

I can't wait to own this movie.

Unfortunately the stupid hillbilly and his fat slag behind me wouldn't shut the fuck up even after I asked them to. It was hard to resist moving behind them and slicing both of their throats wide open into a bleeding smile to appreciate the movie.

FUCK YOU AMERICA!

Is there a theater where people just shut the fuck up? Will the Alamo Drafthouse boot your ass for being an ignorant fucktard during a film?

I want to open a chain with former MMA fighters as bouncers who will shut you the fuck up and if you try to act like a macho cunt in front of your fat whore of a girlfriend they will emasculate you and give her AIDS from the invetory I will keep in stock.

Tell us how you really feel.

does anyone else feel they could actually make a decent comic game out of the ghost rider character

Crazy Nic Cage is best Nic Cage. His head twitches translate nicely even as Ghost Rider.

Good cheesy popcorn flick. Had fun. Although Decay was a good character, I'm not sure how he could drive consider he had to touch the vehicle...

Clearly a sign that the directors are dirty Prius driving libruls! Cars are bad for Earth like Twinkies! </science>

It was a pleasant surprise, although it doesn't warrant a repeat viewing. I do wish the villains were a bit more fleshed out.

I have a very low bar for comic book movies -- usually I'm just satisfied to see them on the big screen -- but this movie made me scratch my head. See it at your own risk.

Saw it last night. Was awful and in useless 3D. I don't know how they could make a movie about a guy with a flaming skull boring, but they did.

I watched it tonight (2D) and really enjoyed it! I love the way Nevaldine/Taylor make their movies visually (like the screen effects on Karrigan remind me of 70's dream sequence filter) and they do such interesting angles on shots and super amazing stuff with handhelds. Got to say this movie has one of the most awesome precredit sequences I've seen.

I thought it was kind of interesting that they made the bulk of the action more about car chases in this movie rather than fighting action when so many superhero movies make the action all about these big fight sequences. Ghost Rider just kind of stands there and punks everyone when he gets around to it during the sequences on foot. I guess it suits their style of direction though. There still were some very cool action sequences without cars though.

It was really, really cool to see their kind of guerrilla film making in a superhero studio film. I'm glad they were able to keep that style when they moved to a larger budget movie. I hope they get rewarded for it at the box office.

Nicholas Cage was born to star in Nevaldine/Taylor movies. I really, really hope they work together again in Ghost Rider 3 or Crank 3 or anything really.

I watched Pathology, a movie they wrote the script for, a few weeks ago and I thought it was a pretty interesting movie. If you like their other work, you might check it out although it's not at all made like they make movies. Not great but pretty good.

I'm hoping the Bluray/DVD is packed with extra features.

From the little featurettes they've posted on iTunes they didn't do any sort of facial mapping on Cage. He just wore crazy face paint and they replaced it with a flaming skull. :D

Having more vehicular combat just makes sense for Ghost Rider. The first movie sucked because the villains were just terrible and there wasn't any real quality action.

If I think Crank: High Voltage is the pinnacle of human evolution how will I feel about this?

Well, it's PG-13 so they couldn't get away their particular brand of insanity but it's definitely a Nevaldine/Taylor movie. Not as manic but their style is definitely on display in some cases.

Honestly, it's not something that even compares. Crank is just...Crank and this is a deranged studio film but it seems like they were kept on a much tighter leash. There's still some pretty crazy stuff in it though. If you like their insanity, you MAY like GR. If you like the way they shoot movies and their style of direction, I think you'll love it.

If you liked Crank or just Nevaldine/Taylor, listen to this: http://www.earwolf.com/episode/directors-edition-crank/ It's really insightful into how they make movies and how flexible they are on the set to let things happen.

Surface of Me

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Saw this Saturday, it was a fun-dumb movie. It made me laugh out loud several times, intentional or not. Although I though some of the earlier action wasn't too good, the later scenes made up for it. Crazy Cage is awesome, and Decay was cool enough.

Also, me and my friends all agreed he needs to ride in an F-16 if they make a sequel.

I can't believe anyone thought this was good. The action was boring, and most importantly FAR too infrequent. The plot was laughable, the B slasher flick direction was headache inducing and unnecessary...I saw no redeeming qualities. Literally the worst movie I've ever paid to see in a theater.

Wish I could tell you.

I hated Crank, didn't bother with the sequel; but enjoyed Gamer (thought it was a suitable spoof of shitty game culture) and enjoyed this.
Looks like we both need to rectify. Crank 2 is infinitely better than the first.

Well aware of that podcast, but had no idea Taylor was a guest. Thank you so much, I'm a few minutes in and it's hilarious.

So, toned-down, somewhat studio safe N/T tethered by a PG-13 is kind of what I expected. Will still likely see it, appreciate your thoughts! LOVE their directing style. Crazy about them, will see anything they direct.

Cage is an awesome actor, you can tell he's having fun; I love this guy. he's stuck doing tons of b-movies in a row to pay off his debts right now, but the guy has legit talent.

I saw this yesterday. And you know what, it's really a shame because the visuals of this movie are so so cool looking.

They've done a phenomenal job creating the new look for the Ghost Rider and his bike whereas the first film totally fucked it up.

I love how they captured the daylight scenes, too.

JUST GET BETTER WRITERS AND REBOOT THIS AGAIN LOL

Seriously, Ghost Rider is probably the most bad ass looking Marvel character and he needs to be done proper justice ):

Saw this last weekend. It was sooooo bad. No plot, weak action, terrible writing. I got a few laughs out of it at least, and it was an experience, but damn. They sorta flirted with using Nic Cage's craziness, but what we need is a full movie of Nicholas Cage being insane.

The first was one of the shittiest movie I've ever seen. That and District B13. Seen them in a row. God I laughed so much at theses two movies. Might see the sequel with friends just for fun.

I watched this yesterday thanks to a free Starz weekend. Man oh man, this movie was just barely better than the first. First off, Ghost Rider himself looked great. Way better flame effects and the skull itself looked more sinister. The character looks bad ass. His motorcycle also looked good, wasn't too overly designed.

The movie looks great, awesome angles during the action. Especially the action on the road. But the story and the over the top acting I found pretty weak. The villains were pretty much "moustache twirling" evil.

On the one hand, it's so great to see the Ghost Rider character onscreen. But I found this movie disappointing, just like the first one. Sony needs to let Marvel get the rights back to this and it needs a reboot. They need people who can come up with a better story and script, a good director and a new cast.

Disney has Daredevil and Punisher back, hopefully they get Ghost Rider back also and get going on a good Marvel Knights series of movies with a dark tone to them (well, as dark as they can get going PG-13).
