Ghostlight Games teasing JRPG port [UPDATE] Lost Dimensions port announced for PC

Just for completeness, here is everything that the hints would technically fit (I believe) -- without any regard for likelihood:
  • Enchanted Arms
  • Eternal Sonata
  • 3 Arland Ateliers
  • 3 Dusk Ateliers
  • Ar Tonelico 3
  • Ar no Surge
  • 2 Trails of...
  • Resonance of Fate
  • Star Ocean TLH
  • 3 Tales of...
  • Nier
  • Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny

The only one I consider possible on that list which wasn't mentioned previously is Rune Factory. It would also make sense to do the PS3 version, since the other one is Wii.

What other versions of Ar Tonelico 3 are there other than the PS3 versions, lol?

Since I played most PS3 JRPG's on PS3, I doubt this'll grab my interest. Wish Ghostlight would pick up a bit more localisation work yo go along with all this PC porting :(

Well, their first brand new attempt at a localization sold next to nothing, unfortunately. (Gothic's a very good game, just extremely obtuse to say the least.)

Wow, I never even heard of Lost Dimension.
It's obscure enough and seems to fit the hints.

My fault, thought it had a VIta version like almost everything else Gust made in that period.

There's no way it's something like Star Ocean: The Last Hope International? It's SE, but at the same time, I doubt they'd ever do anything with it themselves.

Not that I'd want the game either tbh, or really any other PS3 JRPG that could fit... Bad generation for the genre.

Rune Factory Tides looks amazing running at higher resolutions (dolphin). If they managed to throw in even a few extra features I would be all over that.

edit: The Witch and the Hundred Knight fits

I'd be up for a Rune Factory port. Although I haven't played this one, is it any good? I've only played 1-4 on the DS+3DS.

it is not very good and most RF fans seem to hate it, but I enjoyed it well enough, would even rebuy it on steam if with cheevos, but that's not it anyway.

Although now when I think about it, I'm not even sure which company owns it, maybe it is possible.

If you guys want to speculate, you'd want to focus on the hint (it's based on the PS3 version, but it had other versions) and also on the usual Ghostlight partners (Compile Heart, Acquire, Idea Factory).

Trails of Cold Steel ?

edit: maybe not.

In my honest opinion it's probably the best one. The complete de-emphasis on farming (you don't actually farm at all just leave captured monsters to do it for you) and the stronger emphasis on character and world building made it feel much more tight and I ended up liking the characters way more.

There wasn't any of the "too much to do in one day" issues that I've had with other Rune Factory games that caused me to either be stuck in an unbreakable routine with no progression (water crops, feed monsters, socialize, visit hot springs, go the same dungeon with not enough time to really explore) or risk losing social progress, crops, or animals.

Isn't it time for that announcement already?

I couldn't tell you xD. I just played it (never finished the main story due to losing my save after playing it for weeks). I just felt like it was a really good game and a clean break from some of the somewhat forced farming elements I felt like were holding some of the earlier entries back.

I say it's Class of Heroes 2. The game appeared on PS3 and PSP. Plus, Acquire isn't a stranger to PC what with Akiba's Strip is on PC as well as games from the Way of the Samurai series.
