Ghostwire: Tokyo - 18 Minutes of Gameplay

I dont know why this isnt cross gen. Looks quite interesting but I dont know what is "next gen" about this.

So is the game Farcry: Tokyo? Or does it have more to it than just that?

Art looks amazing so I want to like it, but I'm not fully sure about it yet.

Probably not going to be able to wait a full year for it. I'll get it on a sale soon, because it looks fantastic.

I'd probably get it day one if I wasn't drowning in games that just came out.

looking good and looking weird, just like its former creative director...

I'll fuck with it, have a little fun and feel bad afterwards, just as i would with its former creative director...

Loving the atmosphere and gameplay but the exploration aspect of it seems weak and I really hope it has a fov slider cuz its way too low. Other than that, I'll most likely get it.

The last trailer in the SOP sold me on this. Looks crazy fun. Weird and unique. Hoping for some good dualsense implementation. It sucks Tango goes Xbox only in the future.

I'm actually excited for this game off the designs of the enemies alone. that good ol japanese yoni art. gameplay looks a bit dated post elden ring but I'm still eager to give this one a shot. put the ps5 to use.

Mikami is out soon and this games creative director left to make her own studio.

everything looks great, except AI looks stupid as well, i hope its easy mode.

No, just wondering why when the game does not look like its doing anything which makes it current gen only.
Agreed, I'm sure like deathloop its only next gen to have something for ps5 users to say they only have. it doesn't seem that theres anything going on requiring it to be next gen exclusive.

To be fair nothing so far this gen has seemed "next gen" to me. I think it will happen when devs have there next gen technology implemented but devs are really slow this gen. Last gen we had "dam that next gen" moments right from the start with ryse and shadowfall.

the art and effects look great but

The combat at 6:23 looks dull as hell.

Is that really the way the Ai is meant to respond.

Man this looks really cool. I love the theme/setting/art/lore, but I don't really like what I've seen from the combat, especially with multiple targets. Definitely something I'd like to see more of from more advanced sections of the game.

Is there going to be a demo?

I agree, I played Demons Souls re and even that wasn't the "next gen wow" factor I got from some early next gen games last year. That being said the wow factor in load times and QOL features is still nice.

I adore this game right up until the combat starts.

Static/Stupid AI, overly long attack animations and it feels like a lack of variety in encounters.

I'll get it when it's 50% off probably.

Look really great, oh well probably within a year I would be able to play it.

Yeah i still am pretty happy with the next consoles, ssd's are a game changer and we will get wow moments eventually. Iys going to be a long gen.

Great concept - repetitive game design choices. Its the same stuff on repeat.

Im starting to think most Dev's are too afraid to try anything new - they'd rather stick to 'what works' and call it a day.

I still don't quite get what this game is trying to do.

If its a cool story...I'll pick it up eventually. (There is so much good stuff out right now).

Otherwise...I dunno...

Ghostwire continues to look nice from a technical standpoint, but the more we see of the game, it just confirms what have been my thoughts that the title's core would be a slow-moving FPS. The various gameplay videos have failed to get me interested, and I have the feeling the story is going to need to do some heavy lifting to makes things entertaining.

This game has style, but gameplay looks basic.

They should have designed the game to work well without X-ray vision and with a minimal as possible HUD to amp up the atmosphere.

I hope it plays well on PC with mouse + keyboard.
