It seems like there's got to be a way to make something Skype-like work. Obviously, both "sides" of GB can record themselves locally, and then merge/mix the two recordings together in post. That takes care of all voice quality and lag issues for us the listeners, but still leaves the issue of lag for the actual participants unsolved.
So, does any sort of extra-low-latency voice chat thingie exist? Surely Cisco has invented some sort of fancy conference-call tech for companies that are willing to pay for it. It sounds like video could also help the comedy timing work better, but probably makes the lag issues harder to solve.
There has got to be a way, people!
