This fridge is gonna show up with like 2 mins left in the workday.

If they talk about poop on the bombcast next week it will be my last bombcast for a month or two. This is disgusting. It's been recurring for weeks and weeks now. They're obviously deliberately making the editorial decision to subject us to this. I'm so fucking sick of it. Jesus Christ. Cut it the fuck out.

it's pretty shitty

The crew looks okay but I really don't like open world racers. They all seem so soulless and the driving mechanics seem to take a backseat to the actual freeroam aspects.

It's incredibly impressive that the map is so gigantic and it looks well made but the actual racing bits seem completely generic and dull.

timestamp? I turned it off ~20 mins in because it was kind of boring

watch from 36:14

I actually think this game looks really impressive outside of the awful story stuff. The open world is amazing.

Watching them try to climb pike's peak at the end of the video is a fun watch too.

Game is certainly back on my radar, though it doesn't really have as much soul as I was hoping it would. Mechanics aside, it looks and sounds like every other racing game out there.

It's a MMO, MMO requires online connections.
From everything I've seen of it, it works exactly like the TDU's, which did not require an internet connection to work, or to not dump you back to the main menu and lose your progress whenever there's connection issues.
Nope, sorry. I'm going to wish failure on any game that implements always-on DRM for a game that doesn't absolutely need it.
Yep, and microtransactions.
I'm with these guys. I like open world racing games and customization a lot. I don't want to see games I like get ruined by this bullshit.
I think it's silly to condemn micro transactions without knowing how they actually affect your gameplay. If the curve of acquiring stuff is fine without microtransactions, and the game is fun to play to get the things you would normally use microtransactions to purchase, I don't see why it is worth condeming. It offers another option to those who would like to use it and don't have the time otherwise, or those who just don't like playing games that long.
[snip]
There is nothing positive that could come out of monetized progression being normalized in $60 games. Cheats would accomplish the benefit you're suggesting.
All companies want more revenue, and when this model allows them to increase revenue by making the progression more arduous, that is a shitty model that can fuck off into the sun.

'Hat Bonanza' in a couple of minutes, hm.

Also, where's my Beast archive. :(

Vinny struggled with the video sync the last time with the Bot Colony stream, I'm guessing something similar is delaying it now.

Also, there's a lot of hats on this stream.

edit: Gods Will Be Watching looks fantastic.

I'm sitting here quite happily watching a dude unlocking trumped-up achievements in a game I couldn't give a shit about.

I don't think I can ever belittle an anime fan ever again.

I don't know about Gods will be watching. It seems kinda cool but also waaaaay too repetitive. Doing that whole "Think-Lie-Provoke-Confess" thing for 20 days (asuming nothing changes) seems way too long. i was already bored at the end of the QL before Vinny took it a click too far. I think I'm gonna wait for a sale here.

Anyone having trouble getting the twitch stream to show on the gb chat page? Using Chrome, and it works fine on the twitch site, and the chat page embed works fine in firefox. Weird.

So this is happening...
