It is fair. Even a lot of the athletes are all like "I might turn out for the relay but I am too busy training for the next olympics to enter all the races."

It is basically just a big party where we (Brits) pay for all the countries who we once exploited to come a beat us at sport. A bit like cricket.

Not true. Tea is fairly popular, just not nearly compulsory as it is in England.

Also there are variants like sweet tea (ugh) which is hugely popular in the South.
