So are Dan and Danny regulars on GB now? I like Danny's personality and he seems like a cool dude, but after watching this WoW-video it blows my mind how someone so oblivious to gaming and the buisness as a whole can work in it. He's worked at Game Informer, but has no idea that Blizzard are developing a MOBA. It just feels like he doesn't contribute anything but being a way for Jeff to explain his infinite knowledge of the buisness to him.
as someone who is into mobas i envy dan

i wish i could forget blizzard was making one

Starting to wish QLs were actually quick. Watching the Firefall QL, my interest was waning after 10 minutes and seeing that I had 50 minutes to go I just turned it off. Of course maybe it's just the game itself.

MMO QLs tend to drag. But it's a QL of a MMO, so to show anything you probably have to make it longer than the average QL. Also, Firefall looks bad.

Firefall!
The interactive PAX experience - now in your very own home!
Watch as large monitors are setup, with some sort of demo playing.
Marvel at the confusing and overly large display - for no apparent reason other than to be a huge eyesore.

How is cannonbrawl as a single player game? Really looks interesting to me but I'd mostly be playing on my own.

Well it has a campaign where you unlock new buildings and such so I would compare it to something like the PvZ campaign or Advance Wars, purely in the campaign style though, not the actual gameplay.

Die Hard 4 is fine. It's pretty much not any worse than Die Hard 2. It's certainly not in the same bad sequel hall of fame as Terminator 3 and Indiana Jones 4.

It's funny because you got the wrong person

No Die Hard 4 sucks. It's way worse than Die Hard 2. Die Hard 2 is a retread but that doesn't make it inherently bad.

I want a game based around Thumpin'

It could be called Everyone Is Thumpin'

Mark Ruffalo could sponsor it

It would then be called Mark Ruffalo's Everyone Is Thumpin'

I wonder if there's been a piece of Dan content yet that hasn't referenced wrestling.

It is basically him and Jeff that slip into WWE talk really easy. Both the Drew/Dan and Brad/Dan QLs were wrestleless.

Jeff and Ryan used to kinda do the same in a lot of QL - although their thing was rap / hiphop references.

It's always amazing to me how people can get intimidated by fucking video games. Dan just talking to vendor being intimidated is hilarious to me. That never happened to me in my gaming life ever. I always thought something new is interesting and I will figure it out eventually. Intimidation isn't a feeling I associate with gaming at all.

Die Hard 2 was a bad movie when it came out, and it's a bad movie now. You want bad? watch Die Hard 5. 4 is great by comparison.

all of them are still better than T3 and Indy 4

I think intimidated is a bad word for it, people use it since the saying is that they are "scared off". Its really more a feeling of impatience.

I think games like Defiance and Firefall have a lot of potential. The idea of WoW style cooperative content and dungeons with Borderlands gameplay is super interesting to me; but both fail to execute properly imo. Destiny seems like it might do it pretty well, but it's not really open world. Firefall in particular looks like it has some interesting concepts, i like the visual style even though the texture quality is lacking. Unfortunately a lot of it seems like it just isin't well done. The weapons don't seem that fun to shoot.

Then people should just say they are too lazy to get out if their comfort zone.

Nah, i think it really is intimidation. I had the feeling of it when i tried something like Dungeons and Dragons Online, Dark Souls, or Dota 2. A game that is deeply complex and hard to penetrate. Dan, having never played an MMO, could easily get this feeling about WoW. Overwhelming is better to describe it than impatience imo.

I can understand as someone how played 12.500 hours of counter-strike I understand like no other what it is be addicted to a video.
I NEVER EVER would touch a real mmo like WoW just because of the nature of the type of game it is.
One that can sink your life away like that, what is designed to do.
The best Die Hard is 3
Thank you someone with sense.
My yearly viewing for that movie is coming up.
My fav die hard as wel.

Overwhelming may be a better way to describe it. I said impatience just because whenever I see people complain about how deep or complex a game is, the response is more often: "I just want to play the game" or something along those lines. For instance, I bought Divinity and didnt get past the character creator yet because I haven't gotten into a mood where I feel like sitting down and learning what all those stats, talents, ect.

it's weird listening to Dan and Jeff saying the same things in this WoW video as they did on the podcast. It's like seeing a comedian perform the same material two nights in a row.

I admire your restraint with these btw, I think if I was doing something like this, the videos would turn out way longer (which would defeat the purpose of a Best of).

It also has to do with the amount of strikes on my youtube account for stuff, but I think that 10ish minutes works best for these types of videos.
