Anything of note in the latest Jartime?

Jeff is excited and happy about everything. Also don't have to go to as many meetings anymore, got more of a buffer between the site and the business side of CBSi. It was a good video, you should watch it when you have the time if you're Premium.

I'm always up for happy Jeff. I'll watch it next week, just don't have the time right now. Thanks for the summary!

I'm also curious if the traffic the site did during E3 bought them some more of a buffer and benefit of the doubt from the suits.

That video got me to find Bionic Commando again and try it out last night after dropping it mid campaign however many years ago.

I quickly noted why I dropped it as I was in the middle of a big open air section that required pinpoint swinging between buoys lest you fall into the radioactive death water. But once I muscled my way past that I got back to some city and cave sections and the swinging actually remains really fun. Sure, the shooting is pretty clumsy and there is blue death goo on the buildings that keep it from being particularly open, but I still managed to have a pretty good time with it as I was swinging up and down a broken highway while being chased by two assault hovercraft things.

So I might keep playing it, god help me.

I remember having some fun with it, and it looked nice at the time. I also remember some combat sections being a pain in the ass towards the end.

Jeff and Drew quicklooks are weird.
I like em!
There is something there that'll develop over time. Drew is such a little kid (in a good way) when it comes to new and exciting game prospects and when Jeff gets excited about a game it's infectious. Crimsonland is a good example of that.

Figured these might come in useful.

bwahahah yes

I'm sure this has been discussed and sorry for not doing too much research but where's Brad and Vinnie at? They haven't been in the past 2 or 3 QL's. I figured Vinnie and Drew would be all over this Spintires.

Brad left, moved to NY with his family. Vinny is just on vacation.

Vinny is now based in New York. The only QL's he'll be in are ones with him and Alex.

Brad's on vacation this week.

I wonder if the person shooting the video - with no budget and grabbing the first two white people they saw - will try and take credit for casting two dudes with 120k twitter followers between them.

"Oh sure, I recognised Geoff Bratwurst from the outset".

Wow I'm totally blanking right now...

What's the music that plays during the car portion in the Valliant Hearts quicklook?
Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G minor by Johannes Brahms.

That also happened to be my favourite sequence in chapter 1 and also happened to be a great introduction to Anna's character.

Not sure I'm on board with Jeff/Drew but it will work itself out.

My issue was that Ryan and Vinny were the funny men, Jeff and Brad were the straight men. Drew was mostly serious, and Patrick can do either sometimes. So lately it feels like Drew has been a bit less serious and it's starting to work.

It was only a matter of time. He does QL's with the "funny guys", does podcasts with the "funny guys" and is taking up the role as video editor and producer once held by a very funny guy.

Either he's opening up more or is realizing his larger role for the group.

It's all positive either way.

I love Drew and all his crazy simulator shenanigans, but I think he's been trying a bit too hard on this week's Quick Looks with Jeff. It feels like he's trying to make sure there's not a single quiet moment during the video.
