Giant Bomb E3 2012

I still don't think I understand what it is.
Weekly cooperative or solo play episodes containing a short (~ 7 minute) cutscene and a group of 4 or 5 relatively bite-sized (15-20 minutes) missions, with undisclosed length seasons. It's the cooperative replacement for Firefight.

They recently mentioned that they have a loose story structure that could support years of Spartan Ops episodes if the interest remains high.

I still don't think I understand what it is.

Co-op focus missions that fit into the Halo story. 5 new missions every week for the season. Each week also contains a short CG movie that ties into the halo story. Haven't said how long the season will last but that it will span months. The first season is free.

Sounds pretty cool

I would rather hear from people covering games at the show. I don't need to hear about why their game is going to be so good.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish Greg Miller would just take over and start talking likes/dislikes and his experiences over the week.

This is the problem with game specific talk. If you don't care about the game, you don't really get much out of it.

It's the last day of E3, a game specific night is disappointing. If they at least made it interesting and asked the halo people just how awesome they think metroid prime is. :P

I agree. This is boring as fuck.

If Miller doesn't even bring up the fact that the Beyond game totally ripped off the IGN PS3 Beyond podcast, I will be disappoint (in a tongue in cheek fashion of course).

I'm pretty interested in Halo stuff. Good to hear they recognize how much of a lore-hole they're in too. People can be rabid over that stuff.
Like me...

Yeah, I'm enjoying this just fine. Hell, bring in TLOU dudes next and let's talk about that. These e3 podcasts aren't like what they were last year or the year before, but this isn't exactly bad.

They usually talk about other games too when they bring people from other studios on.

To be fair this is the most calm and directionalized of all the E3 podcasts. The rest of them have been lots of fun but lots of noise and were all over the place.

To me, what I don't like about this podcast is that it doesn't feel like people having a good time and talking about whatever they want. But rather feels like a formal interview between GB & 343.
edit:

This feels more like a PR interview.

beaten, with better wording.
