Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

I feel like the finji girls just thought it would be a normal pr type interview and jeff and steve started with this weird joke that they didn't know was actually a joke.

I am glad that they are proactive about trying to expand their circle and imagine it must be super tough being on these if you're not camera trained.

So when Jeff asked the middle lady about their game and she could barely stutter out a PR description, or when he lobbed the softest of softballs up "What have you seen at the show?" and they literally stared at each other blankly, how could that have been salvaged?

Really, I wonder if they had any normal interactions before being put on camera....where were the alarm bells? They just froze on camera and utterly shut down.
Who knows. Some people do freeze up in that sort of situation. I'm just pointing out that it's an interesting learning experience about how where to seat a guest can matter. But yeah, they both seemed uncomfortable in general.

So like I wasnt down on the segment, but I was also barely watching it and mostly left it on as a podcast in another tab. Im kind of wondering if theres a correlation between watching it and finding it very awkward and vice versa?

Jeff tried pivoting and throwing some normal pr type questions at them, but they still froze. They were just really camera shy - this might have been their first live interview.

Yeah, the seating arrangement, bad eye contact, glances and general body language made it worse. Even Jeff looked a little awkward.

That segment totally made me remember some repressed memories from public speaking in middle school.

I feel for the girls :(

Game looks pretty great too.

In an age where people are actively trying to record themselves doing everything they possibly can on a phone or tablet it's interesting to still find the camera-shy types out there. At least I think it was camera-shyness.

Overland has 4 devs. A Husband and wife duo who founded Finji, and the 2 women that were on the stream. The wife, Bex, was in the chat. Husband was in the studio, I think.

It's a bit different recording from a phone to being on set.

Finished the last segment, and finally jumping back up to the present. Just in time for the next segment, it seems.

So yeah, the last segment wasn't as lively as some of the others have been. But, like, that's okay? Not everyone is the same, and that's fine. I hope they're back on next year.

Danny was interviewed by one of the Mega64 guys

With Jeff having liked one of Roccos videos on his tumblr before, we're getting close to a Giant Bomb/Mega 64 crossover

Well Jeff knew they were clearly uncomfortable and as a host, that's the last thing he wants his guests to feel...so he would have been feeling sorry for them as well. Even without that weird opening...I don't know if that interview could have gone any differently.

Yeeesh, chat is brutal. Gotta stay out of that trash pit.
