wait, were people legit upset by their 2015 reactions? I thought it was great. As a matter of fact, I'm going to rewatch their coverage

I think most people would admit that watching the conferences with them was made worse by dudes like Brad and Alex consistently interjecting what's happening on twitter, with some of those being "oh I know what's coming up next but I won't say" type of comments. That's why Jeff mentioned that they're ditching the laptops in the room they'll be watching the conferences this year.

Now we're just gonna get that pure, 100% Colombian GB reaction.

The Beastcast was teasing guest appearances HARD. Cannot wait to see what goons Alex managed to court for some shenanigans.

Yeah, there were a number of people baffled that the GB group were not more amazed by the 'Year of Dreams' announcements (Last Guardian, FF7 Remaster, Shenmue, etc), which was especially contrasted by GameTrailers' coverage which fell just short of having a person die of excitement-induced heart attack on stream.

I was mostly baffled when they would say "who hasnt played this already" (I believe on the following weeks bombcast) as a reason why it didnt mean anything to them. Meanwhile, they had someone on staff doing a run through Metal Gear games because he had never played one.

If there is someone who has never played ANY Metal Gear game (especially someone in the industry), I do believe you can find a shitload of people who has never played one particular Final Fantasy game.

I know the crew well enough that those arent the games to get them psyched, but found that in particular as a terrible line of thinking.

Ok since they've had CEOs and big game business people on the show before what's theoretically the biggest person Alex could get?

Kanye? Pele? Jamie Kennedy? DA HOOPGAWD?

Giant Bomb West is to Giant Bomb East as Star Trek TNG is to Star Trek DS9

One is more accessible, popular, and well-liked; the other is its own thing that is has a different feel and is actually
slightly better
I barely listen to the bombcast or watch any videos with the west coast group. So what I'm saying is that your analogy is 100% applicable because Deep Space 9 is my favorite Star Trek series.

Can't wait to see what GB has in store this year. Have they commented on location? I assumed they would do the hotel ballroom thing again.

Nice, now just need them to stop having to pee every 30mins and it will be perfect.

Don't necessarily agree with the last part but I appreciate it. Too many people just watch TNG and don't realize there's another high quality Trek series in DS9.

Yeah. I'm on the Conan guess as well. I love Conan and appreciate the Clueless Gamer stuff from afar but it's too cringey for me to watch regularly.

Conan O'Brien is my guess since he is always at E3 and will be on the youtube stream one of the nights.

That'd actually make some sense. Though they seemed hesitant to say that they had 'celebrity guests' lined up.

My moonshot guess is that they got Kojima. One of the few gaming personalities that I could see getting that reaction.

I read that as them being hesitant in saying anything about it, not anything more than that.

Generally the GB crew needs to see gameplay to get excited about a game, which honestly is how it should be if we were all so rational. Personally I was losing my shit over those announcements, but I totally get where the GB crew was coming from. Out of the three "dream games", one was a kickstarter pitch video, one was a CG trailer, and one showed some pretty underwhelming gameplay.

It's funny that GB was accused of being jaded last E3, because they were probably the only streaming group that was positive about Nintendo's E3 digital event.

The Skylanders/Crash announcement reaction would of been amazing.

Yeah... you know a real Crash game is coming (and maybe it might be made by someone who gives a damn) but man It would have been great if the Skylanders thing wasnt spoiled just for reactions.

I spent way too much time arguing last year with people who said the crew were cynical douches who should have been cheering and celebrating corporations.
