Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

Every conference topped the previous, sans the PC thing.

Sony's was almost the inverse of Microsoft's, you know. Microsoft's key points were about the Xbox platform, but was seriously lacking in games. Sony went strong on software. Nothing really about the Playstation platform. Even PS1 games on PS4 could've been interesting. Or folders. It's been three years. Give me folders.

I don't think Giant Bomb are downers, and I honestly don't get the sentiment. I like the way that they can separate themselves from the usual hype cycle and look at things from a critical eye. I don't always agree with them, but I always understand what they have to say, and I almost never think they're unreasonable.

Yeah, I thought Sony's conference was lacking. Horizon and Kojima were the only things to excite me.

I'm ambivalent to most of the games but I thought Microsoft's conference was structured and presented much better.

Brad is always the only one who can't keep it together during these bits.

Bless Austin for starting this whole "let's write on the chalkboard" thing

No, I'm listening to them right now and I don't know what they want from a conference.

Are you being dense on purpose then? It's easy to explain - when your conference is just a bunch of highlight reels, you have no time to explain anything about RE7 or Spider-Man or Batman Akrham VR or the Kojima thing

There really is no compelling way to show VR without putting on the headset and trying it out. The Giantbomb guys know that, which makes this criticism of the VR portion kinda weird.

This thread is amazing. In 24 hours we go from the joys of

to "Giant Bomb is so jaded and hates everything!". I think this thread has bipolar disorder.

My rankings of the press conferences:

Sony stand out titles: God of War 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7, Detroit.
Microsoft stand out titles: Forza Horizon, Sea of Thieves, Indie Stuff (Cuphead/Inside/We Happy Few).
Bethesda stand out titles: Dishonored, Quake, Prey.
Ubisoft stand out titles: Ghost Recon Wildlands, For Honor, Steep.
Electronic Arts stand out titles: Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1.

Ubisoft's show was stupidly long, and none of the information or the jokes were particularly worth hearing.

Not just weird, dishonest.
