Conference is nearly finished and they were only uneasy about the VR stuff, the last game (Days Gone) and Detroit. What are people on about again?
Wait until they talk about how they felt after the conference is over. You'll understand then.

It's weird that the thing Capcom thought people hated from the Dead Rising games was the time limit and bathroom save system, but they thought the escort shit was totally fine
I used to love this kind of coverage of E3 before, but to me now it all just feels so rushed and PR heavy with prepared scripts. I'll give it a go because of Danny!

What escort mechanics were in the last Dead Rising game?
Based on their round up of the Sony conference I think I see GB's biggest issue with the Sony conference: They actually like having those execs come out there with graphs and charts and sitting out there talking about a game for 20 minutes. They want to be sold on something. It wouldn't
surprise me if they liked the Microsoft conference more even though they showed significantly fewer games than Sony because Microsoft spent a lot of time trying to sell you on things.
The disconnect is that their audience and gamers in general hate those execs coming out there and talking and just want to see the trailers and gameplay.
You might want to create a new thread with this schedule.
I bet game devs are pretty happy that post apocalypse is so hot right now
a lot easier to make a destroyed town than a big ass living city with actual ai schedules
Dan says it's worst sony conferences in years and is one of his biggest downers of the show, he is a monster clearly

I'm of the same mind. They'll save all that in-depth stuff for when PSX happens. This conference Sony just really wanted to go "Look at these tons of games!!!"It seems like Sony is saving a lot of that stuff for PSX nowadays, though. They hype stuff up at E3, then at PSX a few months later we get dates, gameplay, devs on stage, tons of indie stuff.
Pretty sure both of those things are not that easy as you might think.
There were literally no tentpole games that Sony had for holiday last year. It was one of the most hollow E3 conferences I can remember. This year actually had exclusive stuff that will be playable this year or early next. To look favorably on the last few Sony press conferences is just....???How dare he dislike a conference!![]()
The post conference have them saying that they think the conference is lesser than the sum of its parts. But I agree, in general they were positive to mixed on almost everything. I just think a lot of people thought this was close to the best press conference ever, which is a view they obviously didn't share. But at the end of the day this is all extremely subjective.
Now this looks amazing and better than almost everything they showed. Incredible.
This looks fantastic. Why wouldn't they show this during the conference?
I just loved that they didn't waste anytime talking. my only problem with the conference is that they didn't have a break between the VR stuff and Call of Duty to make it clear we are no longer showing VR games.
I thought it was their best conference in a while because of the lack of talking (and that orchestra was badass).
European conferences in 2 months. I think these games will be blown out there (other than GR2 which will probably be mostly TGS).
Also, Austin has been fantastic this E3! Fits right in and you wouldn't realise he has only been part of GB for 1 year. His commentary has been smart and funny.

Ok now I understand where posters were talking about with this post show wrap up. But, I understand the team's perspective completely, especially with the VR games, despite loving the conferences myself. Jeff calling it only trailers and should have been uploaded as a 'Direct thing' and the mission statement aspect was an interesting perspective I didn't think of.
The second mission in the opening is an escort mission
Abzu will be out before Gamescom though, so they should have at least shown that here.
He's been really good. Whenever east and west meet, I want Dan always sitting next to Austin - they're a great pairing.

I mean, I kinda want that too. Not pie charts and nap time with Pele and drawn-out multiplayer matches, but bringing the devs on to talk for a couple of minutes about what makes their game cool? Sure, it's part of what makes E3 stage shows different than just watching a bunch of trailers on youtube. Pretty much the only thing Sony did that couldn't be replicated with a Youtube playlist was the orchestra, and while that was cool it's not something that gave any more insight into the games. I have to echo the comments about the VR segment -> CoD transition being confusing, too, and I think the montage bit at the end should've had the names of the games being showed in the corner or something.Based on their round up of the Sony conference I think I see GB's biggest issue with the Sony conference: They actually like having those execs come out there with graphs and charts and sitting out there talking about a game for 20 minutes. It's a perspective that shows how out of touch Jeff is. Sony got much more publicity of out of the pomp and circumstance of this E3 press conference than they would have got from a Direct thing.
The videogame buying public were paying attention and overwhelmingly thought Sony had the best conference.

5000 is a pretty good sample.Did you really just link a Twitter poll with 5000 votes to prove a point?
The weird popcorn exchange last night after Sony conference oddly had me laughing. Dan just dumping popcorn from a coffee cup onto Austin's crotch... I couldn't help but laugh even thought it was nothing.

Weren't you doing this last night too, posting Twitter comments as evidence of how wrong they are? This seems like a really insecure way to respond to their reactions, moreso since you can't seem to let it go.It's a perspective that shows how out of touch Jeff is. My main point is that this is all pretty silly.
