Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

Because of money. People have limited funds and priorities.

I can't believe that some people still don't get this.

Same here. So many posters missing the larger picture with this and assume everyone on the planet cares that they "could" have just build a PC, without thinking about how most people don't care that much about video games and want options based on what is easiest or cheapest for them. Microsoft wants xbox to be a platform and for people to upgrade or not as they please. People are too caught up in being console warriors trying to find any possible negatives in the MS "strategy".

Microsoft's conference was really good for what they are pitching, moving away from the legacy of Xbox One's launch, promising more impressive hardware and transitioning to the PC market.

In response Sony did exactly what they needed to do - games, games, games for the 40m+ people who have already invested in their platform, which has melted away fears of the upcoming Neo.

My favourite thing at Sony was The Last Guardian.

It's under loads of pressure to deliver and people are lining up to kick it (and praise it out of hand) but it looked as impressive here as it ever did.

I am already kind of heartbroken at the big cat bird thing. I am going to be devastated if it has a sad ending.

It's going to have a sad ending. It will be so easy to evoke those emotions in people when you have played the whole game with the rat bird and you have that kind of soundtrack.

I could give a shit about any company and think Sony had more game I'm interested in but I'd say MS had a better conference where Sony had a Sony Direct that they were pushing as a Conference and it ended up being a bad conference with great games.

I would have taken that Sony Direct at any point of the year, but it just wasn't a good conference for E3.

Oh yeah, either the kid or the bird will die.

The creature. It will be like The Road crossed with Pete's Dragon where the kid has learnt to care for himself with the help from the rat and there will be a touching scene of him taking his last breaths with the kid hugging him or some shit and I'll be crying like an idiot.

E3 is the best time to show upcoming games that will get people excited about the platform. It's the time of the year when you can reach the most consumers.

Ok now I understand where posters were talking about with this post show wrap up. But, I understand the team's perspective completely, especially with the VR games, despite loving the conferences myself. Jeff calling it only trailers and should have been uploaded as a 'Direct thing' and the mission statement aspect was an interesting perspective I didn't think of.

Maybe he didn't realize how GoW, Horizon and Days Gone were all being played live? I don't know how that, all scored by a live Orchestra, is supposed to be just as good as a Direct thing.

I hope you're right because I'd love to see the game get more attention

Thinking about it, it might be better even. I know there's so many games that I find interesting from the indie showcases and the like at these conferences and totally forget about them as they just get lost in the noise. If they do give it some time and say it's already available, I'd be down to grab it right there and then.

lmao these guys suck, bunch of SJW garbage

Southern Jeff Warrior? I dunno, I thought that segment during Ghost Recon was pretty good.

Oh yeah, either the kid or the bird will die.

Or they both live but the world is destroyed ala Never Ending Story and they live on a rock in space forever, alone, sad.

Hoping its not too cheap. I am actually interested in the game now, but lord knows I wont have the time to play it.

The great thing about the Dan-Austin pairing is that if you were to somehow combine them into a single being, that being would be Jeff.

later dawg

finally finished up watching my quota for today. Pretty happy with the entertainment factor this year. Maybe next year if I have a job I'll take the time off, definitely not the same just crashing on my couch after work compared to the last three years staying up until 4am in the crisp led lights of my monitor

I understand that but while there is some stuff to get excited for there was a lot more to have questions about that just wasn't answered or conveyed really well. That seems like a poor job.

They hit that demographic hard didn't they.

Right in the bulls eye. And that season didn't really end up in their favor, but all they see is the PC Principal and OH MY GOD HOW FUNNY LOL etc. It has been a ride to see the South Park community transform.
