Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

Haha, I hadn't thought of the trailer like that.

It makes TOO much sense now that I think about it.

edit: top of the page?

Dan telling Jeff about Zelda:

"There was totally a moment where I got to the top of a tower, it went to my map screen, and a whole bunch of icons showed up and it said "Regional map extended".

The demo was super short and had a bunch of different vibes to it. Anything from Blair Witch to P.T. to The Hills Have Eyes. Real good and the right direction for the game, but not nearly as creepy or scary as P.T. was.

Cannot wait to see the new game.

Do you think it would be interesting to play in VR?

The thing I appreciated over PT is that you get a sense of the actual gameplay. You're finding items with a limited inventory and using them in puzzles and there's some sort of melee combat. PT had a really cool style but it was tough to tell what would actually translate to a full game.

Definitely more creepy in VR than just on screen. I could see what Jeff was talking about with the KITCHEN demo Capcom showed off before with some of the setup. I think it could be very interesting, but I still want to see more of what Capcom is doing with RE7.

Very true. Way more of the game hooks than P.T. ever had.

I agree, this seems a lot more like an actual game. PT was scarier, but too obtuse for me to play more than once. I just let the collective internet work it all out and then went huh, that's cool.

People can like whatever they like, more power to them. Just that to me, still seems like the same game just in a different wrapper. Two of those was enough, and that was like 7 years ago now?

MW was thee progenitor, it's what modern console ADS shooters are based on now still. If you're the type to throw in all shooters into the same bucket though, then sure, you'd just feel like how Jeff does on the subsequent CODs anyway. Not a big distinction moving forward from that point in time.

That's what Mark Macdonald looks like? My world is shattered.

He looks like gaming jesus should look. Been a fan since 1up though so I knew but man that bald guy is throwing me off. Never seen the other people on 8-4 really but listen because of the 1up days.
