I've never been into God of War, but this sounds good. Isn't 3 on PS4? If it is, I might have to download it and give it a try.

I would highly suggest playing at least 2, and maybe 1. Not that it's a particularly deep story, but 3 picks up hot on the heels of the end of 2 so it might be a little confusing.

The other God of War games are very very different. They're good games but outside of the first the story is mostly I'm Kratos and I'm super fucking pissed everyone is going to suffer for it.

I don't think three will make any sense either. It's been a while, but I don't remember it doing a lot to catch up to new comers to the story.

Oh the dad simulator genre is up and coming. The Last of Us had a lot to do with it for sure, but I think people are growing up and are less interested in "save the girl/family" stories and more like "protect the girl/family" stories.

I agree. The new studio is too dark and the colored lighting doesn't look as nice as what's at E3.
