Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

Yeah, I feel like you shouldn't be watching this feed if there was a remote chance there'd be something you really wanted to know about. I don't plan to use the GB feed for some of the other conferences, but for EA I don't give a shit so bring on the talking!

For me it's not about hearing the conference, but the sound feed of the conference plus 2-3 GB'ers shouting at the same time is rough on the ears.

I don't really get the vibe that GB is hating on Youtubers

They could try to bury everybody since this is a pretty Youtuber heavy stream and they mostly haven't

I really like how they're using the old Freelancer flight controls for kb/m. I always had to use WASD+arrows to fly in Battlefield games, when I stopped caring and put away my flight stick.

I really dislike the trend for every game to have Destiny's UI these days. It's way too minimalist, to the point of soullessness.

...Ok, not every game. But still.

the more they mock youtubers and the like, the more it sounds like sour grapes tbh. And I dont even watch / care about youtubers or streamers.

Except they get benefits and health insurance and don't have to piss in bottles streaming 15 hours a day to make a living.

I don't feel like they're talking shit about the streamers so much as they're talking shit about then being so heavily featured.

Jeff would be just as incredulous if some company wanted him to be featured in their E3 press conference.

Thats the impression I get as well. Its just fake as hell.

Even with my dislike of Star Wars, the group collectively rolling their eyes for the length of a conference is getting lame. They go, "Huh, that looks neat" every 17 minutes or so and for the rest of the time they seem so above-it-all.

I didn't watch much of their E3 commentary last year, so maybe I'm just no longer accustomed to it. I'm certainly not asking them to feign enthusiasm, but all this leaves something to be desired.

Also yeah, you can practically hear some of their disdain for youtubers.

Imagine if you had to run to landing strips and shit though. Shit's not fun and it never was. It was just necessary.

Fuck that.

1. Star Wars ships don't need landing strips.
2. Having fixed vehicle spawns helps structure the map and helps create stable front lines.
3. It enables you to steal enemy vehicles, which is a ton of fun.

All of this YouTube come off as fake because alot of these aren't battlefront streamers that game deid fast.

Honestly, these youtubers getting paid or promoted to play Star Wars is the least fake thing about this conference. The levels of "Hello, fellow youths" EA displayed was off the charts.

Other than one game its been everything we've expected. What's to get excited about?
