There's only so much you can do "automatically". You can improve loading times across all games but stuff like 4K resolutions or higher framerate caps requires a dev to touch it to make sure it actually works.

I feel like you're conflating/mischaracterizing several different parts of their community.

Some of their fandom isn't great but it's been better than some of the GB fans I've encountered at times, idk. Rather, fans of everything can be bad and I'm just happy that both them and GB is pretty good at handling that?
