Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

So that Prison break game at EA is just a WWE movie tie-in starring Ken Shamrock....right?

No, it's this guy

(it's the brother of the guy that was on stage)

Man they were rough on Assassin's Creed.

I don't blame them. It did nothing for me at all. It really does look like they are just using the same mechanics in every one of their games. The eagle being a drone was what made me really not want it at all.

I love the setting but man it just looks like AC to me.

Wait, really? Kinda puts me off from watching it now. The only thing that looked a bit off was the combat at the end which just seemed to need work animation wise.
They are definitely entitled to their opinions and I get series fatigue (I have it too) but they collectively sort of dismissed it right away. I actually thought it was one of the best things that was shown at this presser. Brad seemed to be the most open to the possibility of it being interesting which surprised me.

Great conference, The Last Night was the standout game for me. I'd be on board with the X if it was $399, but with most all of those games coming to PC I can't see spending $499.

Boy, what the FUCK happened to Crackdown?

I'm no graphics hound, but Christ.

Yeah, it stuck out like a sore thumb. Them STILL not giving a gameplay demo has me writing this one off completely.

Did you read the Game Informer leak too because that definitely has helped me be excited for the game. Maybe they didn't see any of the info at all because I can see how the reveal could have alluded to there not being anything too new. I suspect Ubisoft's show tomorrow will provide a way better look at the game.

It's more Assassins Creed, but with bird drones and pyramid sliding. At this point, Assassins Creed is just in that CoD rut of being the old reliable game franchise. Both games are still relatively the same and unchanged. They can go forward thru time and still not change up much of the core gameplay. And now they think going back in time (Egypt for AC and WWII for CoD) will rejuvenate interest. But it's just a new coat of paint.

Not exactly. Here is more info about the game:

New AssCreed looks great. I haven't played one in a while so I'm picking this one up for sure. Plus, it's a free roaming game set in Ancient Egypt, how cool is that.

And you can tell approximately zero of that in what they showed. It looked like every other Assassin's Creed game, but with a skill tree.
