I wish Amy Hennig would just dump all this and go back to Crystal Dynamics and remake or make a new Legacy of Kain game. That world is just filled with potential.
Yeah. I assume her and the rest of the team are completely out of jobs now. Hopefully the team will land on their feet after all this. Sucks Amy never even got to release a game after leaving ND.
Report says EA is discussing her next move with her.
this is the purest Jeff laugh I've ever seen
The state of AAA singleplayer games is fucking dire. A few gems in a mountain of shit. Who is left besides Sony and Bethesda?

Flip the problem on its head, are there genuine ways to improve the efficiency of game development and get budgets under control?
Not on this scale, no. This is where AAA has been heading for quite some time.Flip the problem on its head, are there genuine ways to improve the efficiency of game development and get budgets under control?

I feel like some of yours definition of "AAA" follows the same logic as Dan's definition of "mainline mario"
More stories in that universe would be rad, but I think Raziel & Kain's story ended perfectly in Defiance. What a terrific final line that game has.
I just don't know how studios/pubs can get more money out of consumers in order to justify the extreme cost of development without resorting to unsavory means (lootboxes) or outright upping the MSRP of games
How do Sony manage it?
At some point it feels like companies are straight taking the piss.
I feel like Sony has enough money in the bank to bankroll any studio, which includes marketing. It seems like everything they fund is a guaranteed success at this point.

At some point they should just be blocked from buying studios

I'd bet you good money they're looking into the exact same monetisation model as we speak. Nintendo is slow to adapt but eventually they will adapt as well.god bless Nintendo

And they'll half ass it like everything else
BOOM! ROASTED!
oh come on, when was the last time Nintendo half-assed anything
Sure. All I'm saying is people shouldn't put Nintendo on some weird pedestal. Nintendo has their own way of making additional money like Amiibo and Fire Emblem Mobile is pure gacha. They're a company like everybody else. For now, god bless Nintendo.
I wonder if this the Dan and Alex wrestling feature they talked about ages ago, either way, very excited.
