I just went to get a drink. Why's the screen black?

Aw man, they're done :(.

Hopefully they don't have Ryan / Jeff on for the next one. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just a totally different atmosphere when it's Dave / Vinny.

How's 7th Guest? I've never played it but it's $8 on GOG. Would that make for a good Random PC Game? Apparently, it was, at the time of release, "the new standard in interactive entertainment" according to Bill Gates. I'm guessing it was eventually surpassed by Fusion Frenzy.

RockPaperShotgun's news article on 7th Guest going up on GoG gave the impression that's about on par with Hiorshima, AIDS and the genocide in Rwanda.

So it's probably a great choice.

Hoping Random PC game from today gets posted soon. So far the FMV games they've done have been comedy gold.

There's actually a video on youtube somewhere of Patrick proposing on stage. I think he talks about coming up with the idea of Evil Bong 3D as well.

The Ripper video has been archived:

Random PC Game: Ripper
HAMST3R?! As in the hamst3r?!

I'm so glad you were finally able to get your account approved! Welcome to the forum, officially!
Your work is amazing. : )

Also, glad they archived it. As much disdain Ryan and Jeff had towards it (and Dave near the end), I was beginning to wonder if they wouldn't just accidentally delete it off the hdd, hahaha.

I hope they play it again next week. I want the fun to continue, and at this point, I do hope Ryan and Jeff continue with it as well. But, I do think Vinny and Dave would have played it longer if R/J weren't there. Then again, would Dave have looked up the solutions! Who knows!?

The puzzles were the one thing that worried me when they announced they were going to do this. Some of them take some rather large leaps in logic in their approach, which doesn't necessarily work well for keeping momentum of a live show up. I was loading up Spoony's videos of when he was playing to try to look for problem areas before they got to them, but they gave up before I could really find anything as bad as the crystal puzzle.

Patrick's Dota 2 article made me realize that there's totally going to be a segment on next week's Bombcast where they try to understand DOTA history.

I felt there was one person too much on the Ripper video. It was a bit hectic compared to the usual laidback 1v1 commentary delivered by Vinny and Dave.

Still loved watching it though.

Also, big thanks to whoever recommended the Whiskey Media Video Buddy to me, it works flawlessly!

Like I said in the other thread, The Ripper MUST. BE. FINISHED.

So, so good.

Seriously disappointing lack of Christopher Walken in that game. And then when he shows up later on Ryan fucking Ryans all over what he says. When Walken's on screen you shut up until he's done.

And then you say exactly what he said in your worstbest Walken impression, obviously.

What are you guys talking about? It's like walking into grandma's knitting circle after Russel Brand was on The View. Ryan and Jeff were fine.

I think the only thing that changed by Jeff and Ryan being there is how easily they gave up. I feel like if it was just Dave/Vinny they would have stuck it out more. Almost like Dave could sense how sick of it Jeff/Ryan were getting and put the brakes on it.

It definitely feels different to every other Random PC Game to me. If only because four people speaking over an FMV adventure game makes it harder to follow what's going on than two people.

Dave and Vinny also have a different style to Ryan and Jeff. I feel that Ryan and Jeff are louder and talk more.

I'm enjoying a lot of Ryan and Jeff's jokes, but still.

Yeah, but the puzzles are a bit too much for live sessions like that. I don't remember there being anything close to the crystal puzzle from here on, but there are a couple of frustrating moments ahead.

Considering how zany this game was with all that mid 90s cyberpunk stuff and terribly awkward acting, I thought having Ryan and Jeff in there was OK this time. it worked for me.

I’m still glad it’s a Dave and Vinny feature, though

that movie was awesome whatever it was.

this is like alternate universe giantbomb. Where jeff started a website with 3 other dudes, but they just play N64.
