I loved PSO, and there is a lot about PSO2 I like and don't like (from the outside).

I think a lot of the appeal lies on that previous experience. Most of the things I'm finding myself averse to is the newer things (and some stuff carried over from PSU).

I don't doubt that there will be a lot of people that play PSO2 as their first PSO game and love it, but I think the majority of the appeal is playing that updated version of the older game. It's sort of akin to the HD updates, I suppose.

Then again, I'm usually bored to tears watching PSO, but I have a good time playing it. It's not really better than the other handful of games I've played online, but the people I would play with kept it fun.



Also, if you do play it, you will completely understand the appeal when your first rare item drops. THAT RED BOX. It's the most pure red thing ever to exist.
