Well, Persona 4 Golden still lets your rename your character to whatever you want (as long as it fits within the character limit). So, no, people can still call him whatever they want. Some people may be confused when not calling him Narukami, but that's fine. Like, my sister will still refer to him as "John Cena."

As there's a good chance several P3 and P3 characters are returning in the next Persona installment given what happens in P4A, if it does turn out to be P5 and they give you a different protag to control then we will most likely see P4 protag's canon Yu name again.

Norwegians are fucking crazy. I've never once in my life seen canned leverpostej (liver pâté) here in Denmark. But I don't blame anybody for trying to mail the GB guys some leverpostej, that shit is seriously THE BEST (ESPECIALLY when freshly home made).

I think it's just a matter of it being a stupid name that some new fans latched onto.

This is just my guess, but I think shidoshi's issues are with the fans who only know Persona 4 through the ER vids and haven't played the game themselves and also primarily associate the game and characters with a bunch of running jokes as opposed to the P4 plot standing on its own merits.

Note that I'm not saying that all fans who only know P4 through the ER vids are like this (hence all the "AND" modifers I used ), before anyone gets overly defensive.

Yeah, I never understood that. You would think people who are huge Persona fans would want more people to be interested in those games. I know the ER helped introduce Persona to a lot of people who would have never given those games a chance before.
