ow right, yeah well with most events they actually do that, no TGS and no gamescom, no comic-con.

2x PAX, 1 GDC and 1 E3.
and some publisher events if they are close by or being flown in for, like capcom and EA stuff.
That is not that much I think.

Also PAX for them is just a "vacation" so I think its just an expectation think than.

For sure. I also think of PAX as "vacation" for them, a change of pace that allows them to chill a bit while covering indie stuff.

Though I am not satisfied with their output, the only thing that really bothers me is that I feel like time and resources could be better spent than doing TNTs.

Considering the package and the price I would call jaded skepticism too kind for what Nintendo is going to offer. You act like it would be some evil thing.

It's funny to see you comment on this and I think it might settle the matter. From what I've seen you are like the living embodiment of giantbomb's jaded (lazy) skepticism, but with none of the good. Keeping your avatar in mind, you are a Jeff Gerstmann who slipped out of an evil universe where everyone just sucks. Or maybe his inner-demon he needs to defeat (in order to get a Persona).

I hope this cards against humanity stuff doesn't infest the podcast again, Ryan droning on about it was the most boring segment in years.

I just skipped through most of that by hand. I had to wonder to myself "Am I actually listening to the bombcast? Is this really happening?" Seems very awkward in retrospect.

Pretty much. The idea of the game isn't funny to me, the suggestions weren't funny, none of the jokes that came from it were funny, and it went on for far too long. Felt like a marketing segment tbh

Didn't they take like fifteen minutes the day the bioshock infinite trailer was released to record a quick video? I wish they did that stuff for bigger news like today's Nintendo stuff.

Maybe. Nintendo seem to be approaching it correctly though, at least if the price converts from the Yen as it's speculated to.

It's been 6 goddamn years since the last console launch. I think it deserves a bit more attention than just the Bombcast. I know they'll do a huge marathon like they did with the Wii at Gamespot, but still, let's get some pre-release discussion about it.

If a console launch from one of the big three (rather than something like Ouya) doesn't warrant special coverage then I would start to question their commitment to covering video games. Especially considering it's been over 6 years. I mean they did something like 16 hours of content just for Skyrim - Greg Kasavin's 12 hour marathon plus the Daggerfall/Oblivion mini-marathon Dave and Ryan did before Greg got started. If one game is going to get covered like that then I think a new console would get considerably more.

In fact, that would be an awesome event - streaming marathon of favorite NES/SNES/N64/GCN/Wii games ahead of the Wii U launch.

Is the Tested crew going to make an appearance tomorrow for the Big Live Live show?

It won't be the same without the reviews of made for TV products... :(

This time they talked about videogame for half an hour on the podcast, man that felt like a marketing segment...

if ryan's erection over the game weren't so obvious i'd agree with you. it's not like something they as videogame journalists are obligated to acknowledge and/or play as a part of their chosen job. it's a completely superfluous thing that ryan keeps shoving down everyone's throat.

I can see that, but there is already so much superfluous non-videogame stuff on the bombcast now. I still highly enjoy it and you can easily skip the segments you don't like.

More importantly, he's done a terrible job presenting this topic in an interesting way. It's a topic that could potentially be amusing, but Ryan is making it dreadfully boring.

I think it's hard to sell a game like Cards in the way Ryan tried to on the podcast because outside of the general appeal of being offensive, the way the humour plays depends entirely on the group you're playing with. in that way I agree that it was a bit boring to hear about for that long.

I used to think during the Cards TNTs that they were really hamming it up with their offended reactions to cards that weren't really that funny or clever to me, but in the end it's likely just due to different styles of humour.

can't watch. Is there a better way to sort all of the video content? I just want an alphabetical list of quick looks, features, etc.
