Giant Bomb Thread 2: A thread on a popular internet message board

It was the Nazi uniform. I was playing Civ 5 and couldn't be bothered to skip forward so listened to all of it. It was awful :(.

I might use that auto correct application to turn 'Leigh' into 'Awful'.

Y'all just down on Leigh cause you're misogynist.

I know you are saying it as a joke, but I hope those who use that line with a straight face know the differnce between hating women and hating a woman.

Best E3 ever...

I agree that Leigh was loud and obnoxious, but I don't think she deserved the vitriol she received from GB members as a result. Her antics certainly made for a memorable E3, because I don't remember much else that happened. It makes me sad that we most likely won't see the Bomb House again.

The Nazi uniform time. Listening to it again it I had no problem with it anyway, the guys were clearly just being facetious. The Nazis having neat uniforms is hardly a controversial opinion.

I felt the same way. She just talked over everyone and kept talking about boring subjects like Virtual Worlds. It wasn't as bad as I remembered.

Wasnt' she totally oblivious to <>, she would just be caught up in herself jsut yapping at everyone.

If they ever get around to 2010, they need either cut E3-Leigh or have it be the majority of the podcast. Because really...it is a highlight

I can confirm that we have contacted the owners of said house, who have informed us that it won't be available this year. Guess they've got some permanent, non-student tenants in there now or something.

Do you have any plans for another similar house? Or will it just be hotel rooms this time?

Actually, in all seriousness, what is going to be the equipment situation for the e3 podcasts? I highly doubt CBS would be willing to let GB take the mics and stuff from that room to use for podcasting, and I doubt they got to keep the previous stuff from Whiskey Media.

Yes Jeff, it's time for the ultra-deluxe penthouse suite, if only to show up the Tested guys when the went to Vegas.

I always wondered how they afforded such a crazy place. I heard Whitta won big there, maybe that helped...

I thought they mentioned how much they paid, and it really wasn't that much. I'd imagine hotels in Vegas try to keep their hotel prices down as a loss leader, thinking they'll make it back when you piss away money at their casino downstairs.

A travel-friendly podcast setup is on our fat list of equipment. But if it comes down to it, I actually have all the old podcast mics because I paid for 'em originally and I never filed any expense reports back then.

Someone else asked about the location. We're looking into a similar type of spot, be in a house or a bar with a stage or something like that, I don't really know. We're trying to avoid hotels because their Internet connection would be too unreliable for us to run a decent livestream. The good news is that we have a bigger budget to work with for a location (and we'll apparently be allowed to sleep in actual hotel rooms now, which might be nice). The bad news is that I have no idea where we're going to do this thing yet, and once you start looking at actual "event spaces" and shit like that, the costs skyrocket like crazy.

My guess right now is that we'll end up getting a different house. Since we're not sleeping there, we really only need some lights, some couches, a fridge, and some Internet.

Hey, we're just now getting ready to start talking about what sort of guests we should be going after this year. Anyone specific you'd like to see (or see again)?

Johnny V and Adam Boyes, although I am sure you guys have that covered already. Try to get some of the 8-4 Crew again if you guys can.

Edit: and what sixghost said, some of the Idle Thumbs guys would be fun if they head to E3. You should probably also have John Drake head up a ska band again while you are at it.

Jaffe, Paul Barnett, Johnathon Blow, Johhny V, Adam Boyes, Chris Remo, Sean/Jake from Telltale and as many drunk Doublefine employees as you can find.

Longshot: Peter Molyneux, he's probably got shit to say now that he works for himself

You guys knocked it out of the park last time with your guest lineup, the constant rotating lineup was a great way to have conversations change from anything to everything. Phil Fish comes to mind having just beaten Fez.

Johnny V, Adam Boyes, and Dave Lang are always great.

I don't know if this would work, but considering their official rebirth, an Idle Thumbs x Giant Bomb crossover would be pretty awesome...

I wouldn't mind having more devs talking about the nuts and bolts of things again. I don't really understand a lot of it, but it's some really fascinating stuff to get to hear. Not really anyone specific, but if you guys can find someone willing to spill their guts about things, that would be wonderful.

I know that probably doesn't help, but it would be great to have some of that make a reappearance. : )

Yeah, I'd love to see the idle thumbs guys make an appearance somehow. Or at the very least, Chris Remo shows up.

And of course, Phil Fish.

Agreed with everyone on this list. Chris would be a great one as he's only appeared on the 24 hour stream in Giant Bomb form (right?). Brad Muir has to show up to one of the nights and if you can somehow get Schafer that would be incredible.

Cowboy was a great guest, maybe if they announce anything at E3 it'd be interesting to hear from him again.

edit: McElroy and Lang are great suggestions too.
