Just finished the TNT, I don't get the complaints.

I guess thisisneogaf.gif
The people saying that the last few months have been terrible on content leave me scratching my head as well. The I Love Mondays segments have been fantastic, we've gotten lots of jar times, the TNT stuff (while the games themselves not great) have been hilarious thanks to Vinny/Drew, Drew's N. Korea stuff, and just tons of other things. If they don't like this content, what the heck do they like?

who knows, i dunno why they even keep watching if they hate everything so much.

Some people just love to complain. All you can do is ignore them.

Though Giantbomb should put up the first half of the original Diablo III run. There's plenty of entertainment to be had there.

They were light on content in the couple of weeks before they got bought, and then a few weeks after, but they're slowly returning to normal.

It's still archived on their public JTV account. You can watch it there.

Was Jeff not in the office for Max Payne TNT? Would have been cooler to see how they do bullet time in Multiplayer.

Jeff's at E3 judges' week, and even if he was in the office he's said that at this point he knows too much about too many unannounced games to be in anything live. He's behind the veil, as he put it.

There were problems? I actually did think it went really well.

I guess. Before I watched it I heard people going on about they spent too much time at vendors trading in items and kept getting killed a bunch and how Brad was pissed. It didn't sound anything like that at all.

I thought the TNT was great, having never played diablo all this diablo content is really selling me on the game.

If you've never played a Diablo-like game before, I'd suggest either getting a Diablo 3 Guest Pass or trying the Torchlight demo to see if it's up your alley.

I must have stopped watching before Will got involved. I'll have to finish watching it sometime this weekend. I thought the beginning was a little awkward but maybe things picked up later on.

Fantastic TNT, as always co-op ones with the crew are the best & Will Smith stole the show.

Yeah the decision to move away from exclusively community only TNT's a while back was great, has made TNTs a lot more interesting. Although one of my favourite TNTs is the Quake one done with the community, Brad was a BEAST in that.

Well, that TNT had a visit from Dr. Cosby himself.

Haven't they only just got a PC capture setup? I feel like it was only a week or so ago that they were having trouble with that. I wouldn't expect much until after E3 (for Vinny and Drew) and the site redesign (for Dave).

No premium content planned for this week? Seems like I subscribed at the worst time.

No, the worst time to subscribe was for the first year of subscriptions, when all they did was the shitty Happy Hour. They didn't start ramping up the premium content until it was time for everyone to resubscribe.

I want Vinny to return to The Ripper. He sort of enjoyed it, even if Jeff, Ryan, and Dave did not. I'd like to see him finish it (and he should lower the combat difficulty to help).

Ultimatum: If they don't finish The Ripper, I will cancel my subscription, and buy Funky Student 10 subscriptions so he complains even more than he does now! muahahah.

I would love to see more if it. I don't know why Jeff and Ryan were there. They were just yelling and being bored. Ryan had to act like a host and tell them to move along all the time because it would be boring or something.

Random pc games are always longer and more laid back, much more slow burn, don't know why he didn't get that. Ruined the video :(

I didn't really understand the Patrick hate at all but I'm starting to notice his bias for smaller indie stuff. Indie is fine, but I think it's starting to overshadow the other stuff that I tune in for.

It's not a huge deal but maybe a little uncomfortable feeling? I wish I could explain it better. I guess this Worth Reading 05/18/2012 article struck a nerve.

That's his thing. He's big on quirky indie games especially platformers with quirky art styles. Everyone has there preferences.

Edit: Oops. Maybe posts like this one is why I'm getting the Giant Bomb apologist reputation.

Yeah, I get that. I guess it's just so different from the rest of the group that its jarring.

I think Vinny is just too nice to talk trash about a game, especially the way Ryan and Jeff will. I wonder if he actually sort of enjoyed it.

They need to give us a heads-up if they do so we can get some more puzzle guides ready, haha. I was hoping the rock/constellation one I made would keep them playing, but it only lasted a few minutes longer. : (

Really liked what I saw from when Spoony played it, though. I hope they return to it one day because I want the GB version in full.

We don't need even more coverage on every AAAAAAA title released. We already have hours of video/talking/written content of those titles. Basically every single article, quick look, and TNT is solely about games the general public is already interested in, his 2 paragraphs in a single article surely aren't overshadowing anything. You shouldn't feel uneasy about exposure to something you haven't heard of.

I'm not attacking you but indie coverage barely even exists on Giant Bomb, which is fine since we know the guys' taste, but there shouldn't be complaints about the tiny amount that does happen (1-2 quicklooks a month and Patrick tweeting about it).

I wish I felt the same, for me it clashes too much with everyone else's style. It all clicked when someone asked him at the end of the PAX panel about making the site more indie. I wish I could unhear it. I knew overshadowing was the wrong word when I was writing it, I just couldn't think of the right one.
