I think he fills a nice niche. Ryan and Jeff basically have the same tastes, Drew and Dave are great for PC games, Vinny can play and like anything, and Patrick seems to enjoy covering smaller titles. I do agree that it is a bit of a clash of styles, but I appreciate his open requests and willingness to try new things that would have surely been dismissed in the past before he got there.

Also since Jeff hasn't written a last of us preview like most sites and the trailer hasnt been uploaded on the site and since they didnt even bother watching the videos for the new god of war and PlayStation All Stars I am starting to wonder if Sony finally cut them off?


That would be awesome but if it did happen I am sure we would have gotten a hate filled tweet from Ryan about it by now.

Maybe they are just being lazy.

I guess we will find out if they attend the sony e3 show.

Well they dont exactly put there best foot forward when they are covering ps3 / vita be it due to technical reasons (component cables, how do they work?) or just due to a lack of fucks to give. (there God of War / PS all Stars coverage)

Then again they haven't exactly done anything to grab any negative attention for sony so no loss.

I was thinking that since they have been oddly quite on the PS front recently that maybe something happened.... I guess they got a review copy of starhawk so everything is ok.
 
Isn't it all embargoed until E3 or they are not even able to write about it?

I remember one time where after Jeff went to judge the E3 awards, he could only talk about epic mickey and the cancelled Pirates game.

I call bullshit on those tweets, Giant bomb NEVER is positive on Sony stuff, they only like Call of Duty games on the 360!
I read it all the time in GAF threads, so it must be true!!

Jeff went out and purchased it on his own if I recall.

But yeah, they give credit where it's due with Sony from what I seen. Most of them loved Journey.

I think their preference for 360 multiplayer games is more because of Live, achievements and availability honestly.

I hope they talk about The Last Gaurdian missing from E3 news on the next Bombcast. It'll be hilarious I'm sure.
 
Didn't they say it's alot easier for them to capture 360 footage as well? As well as publishers giving them review copies of the 360 version most of the time.

Yeah... But that argument kind of goes out the window when your talking about ps3 exclusive games or even watching a video of those games on youtube.

It was just the way they didnt seem to bother covering God of war and All stars that seemed a bit weird, no one went to the preview event in LA and they didnt even bother to watch any videos of the games before trying to pass judgment on them as if something was actively trying to stop them from covering those games in any kind of professorial manner.

I am sure Jeff we talk about TLOU on the bombcast as well as any other games he isnt NDA'ed for.

Those basements videos are the best. I remember one night before a stream of I think matrix they played a lady gaga song on repeat for like an hour.

Well random change of subject. Any updates about how the site redesign is going.

I was looking through some old videos and I noticed they havent updated the video categories in years. They still have a TANG category for god sake.

Right now the categories are

Reviews, Features, Trailers, Events, Endurance Run, TANG, Quick Looks, Subscriber.

I guess if I was in charge and I wanted to

Quick looks, Interviews, Events, Endurance Run, Mail Bags, I love Mondays, Subscriber, and Random Office Videos.

Agree? Disagree? Dont give a fuck because you are already using youtube exclusively because the new player sucks?

If streaming it meant seeing them all in suits, I'm glad it didn't work out. It would just be too surreal.

Plus, you know, the whole idea of watching a wedding streaming. That too.
