i dont know. maybe for a segment but not for the whole podcast.

Of course, as a guest like all the other rotating guests they have normally.

I'm not a huge fan of his work because his job is to hype non stop which is annoying but he sounds like a cool guy that sure knows his shit.

i know, i have nothing against him. i just dont know if he "fits" in the bombcast.

I was listening recently to their E3 2011 debaucheries and they used to switch guests every hour or so. It could be interesting to hear what kind of guy he is like after a few rounds and in another context than on Spike.

Dream scenario? Giant Bomb + Idle Thumbs + Geoff + Gameinformer's Dan Ryckert/Andrew Reiner/Tim Turi.
Chaos.

What do you guys think, Yay or nay? Personally, I think it would be great to have him as a guest.

I see Geoff like I saw Sessler.

GREAT guy with a great knowledge and passion for gaming but he is stuck doing a shitty TV show that panders to the masses.

Luckily some of his skills shine though in stuff like Portal 2 Final Hours and his interviews with guys like Reggie.

Would love to see him on the Bombcast and not being tied down to short video stuff he normally does.

Just please keep Vinny on this time. I hate that Vinny is always the one that leaves when there is a guest on. He is most the reason I listen to the podcast.

In fact if it happens and Vinny is on as well I will re sub or buy a shirt... Ill do something that involves giving GB money.

Thing about Geoff is that the only times I see him are when he is in the role of a show host. I don't recall seeing/hearing him as a guest in any show. The guy has made some incredible written material before, which tells me the guy knows his shit.
I would love to see him be himself. And what better avenue for that than the bombcast.

Just please keep Vinny on this time. I hate that Vinny is always the one that leaves when there is a guest on.

Please listen to this man, GB crew.

I hope post-E3, they do more stuff with the phone during bombcasts. It would be cool to hear from random people they know for a few minutes, or maybe even having a member of the community call in for the "what are you playing" part of the show or something.

Oh god, e3 is nearly a week away. 20 hour podcasts next week!

That totally sounds like a rad idea, IMO

Why would you want to ruin the Bombcast?

I'm literally offended by this.

You monster.

The worst idea in the history of ideas.

Get out.

PAX is the closest the community should ever get in interacting with the GB crew. Even then there should be a fence separating the two apart.

<_<

I wish they'd have another block party, but maybe reign it in by having it at an actual location. Not just, "show up on this street."

I'm mostly saying this because I didn't get a PAX badge this year. :(
I'll be at California Extreme instead.

My parents visited for memorial weekend, and I have no cable tv. At one point, I asked if my mom would be interested in watching Drew's North Korea video, and she decided to give it a shot.

My mom, dad, and brother ended up watching the whole thing, hahahaha.

I always turn off the pax panels when they get to the community Q&A stuff, I assume I can't be the only one, right? I tried to listen through the one this year but then there was like 2 questions about an Endurance Run in a row or something iirc, I feel pretty bad for the GB crew tbh.

Non email community interaction ruins pretty much any podcast (Not just GB) imo. Mostly because people stutter or lose their train of thought half the time. It's much easier to think through things and then just write it down only for Ryan to ignore it because he thinks it's dumb.

Yeah, the community Q/A portions are starting to get worse for whatever reason. I mean...drunken Ghost Recon Guy from the PAX East panel was cringe-worthy.

What I'm honestly really bad at is putting my anxiety out of my head and focusing purely on playing the game. Ironically, the more I worry about screwing up, the more likely I am to screw up. That idea seems too subtle or obscure for all the people out there who can't get past the myopic narrative of "Brad sucks at games and I can't take his reviews seriously and I deserve that job more waaaaaaaaaaah" but it is what it is.

I know this is all sour grapes and I should just ignore those people but the sheer amount of vitriol makes it tough sometimes. Thanks for the couch, TherapyGAF.

For what it's worth, I'll always love you, and that is all that matters.

This is literally the worst idea I have ever read on forums ever.

I really hope that they don't do any of that. Listening to people call in is always the worst part of any radio show or podcast. Just keep it the way it is and use the phone sparingly for jokes.

what? no. don't be silly. you're so silly.

No phone-ins at E3, that's what their myriad developer/media guests are there for.

Still, crappy ideas aside, it's nice to see you gracing this thread with your presence bjork :P

Just have a weekly Johnny V check-in. See how much Taco Bell he's bought that week.

someone get Richard Q. Gallup on the e3 bombcasts immediately. all of them. forever.

He's going to this year's E3. Just sayin'.

Of course he'll probably be networking the whole time, but John Davison did ask on Twitter for a meeting with him during E3...

As long as Paul Barnett is there and Leigh Alexander is not, the E3 podcasts are going to be great as far as I'm concerned.

I still don't understand the Leigh Alexander hatred. She was loud and annoying at times but not any more than most of the other guests that show up for the E3 podcasts.

That is only true if you are wrong. All the supposed equally annoying and equally loud guests listened to her in stunned silence and then left.

If their E3 guests tried to drink with the purpose of getting on the same level of dumb as Leigh, there would be no E3 podcasts because everyone would be dead.

If they have packed up most of there gear I propose Dave streams hours and hours of random PC games this week using whatever shitty streaming software he can find.
