There's a guy on the giantbomb forums making those cartoon score characters for patrick and alex and they are pretty amazing.

The cartoons hit a high point with Drew. Unfortunately, he only ever reviewed Dirt 2, I think. At least he gave it a 5 so we got to see the most over the top, out of control cartoon.

Those Alex and Patrick cartoons are cool. Alex's current "guy with gun" definitely seems out of place in the context of the other reviewers' cartoons.

I wish they would consider polishing the current cartoon system rather than removing them alltogether. Perharps the reviewer could pick one of the five instead of it being assigned through score.

My suggestion has been to make a universal set that features Cool Baby, and maybe it changes once every year or every couple to whatever the new Giant Bomb may-may has become. I've also suggested asking someone in the community to just make new sets of everyone, and I'm glad to see that someone has decided to do that themselves. Hopefully the guys like them.

I'm not sure Jeff is still adamant about getting rid of the cartoons altogether, though. He responded to a recent Formspring question of mine about this with "I believe the last design I saw on Dave's monitor had a spot for a small photo" which I took to mean that there will still be an accompanying image of some kind with reviews.

This could be cool. Don't know if that's what Jeff meant, but reviewers could take a custom photo of their facial expression to go with each review. Their issue with the cartoons is that they often don't fit the tone of the review, and this would solve that problem (and be appropriately goofy).

Heh, I like that idea. Glad Jeff reviews most games if that's the case, as he would be the best at making expressions that sum up his review.

I'm thinking he fell deep in the hole that is the PSO2 beta this weekend. Not much Twitter activity, and as far as I know he didn't use his new streaming equipment, which I would've expected considering it's still pretty new.

I hate to sound like a dick... but, whatever.

Brad Muir has been aging crazy fast. At first he looked sort of like CliffyB, but now he is like middle aged.

I would like to know the thought process that lead to it being ok to give some random trolls XBL ID out for the whole internet to see but still poorly edit the video because (I can only guess) someone said something that might count as breaking a review embargo or something.

I was expecting jeff to cover the ID with his hand or something at least....

But as for up coming videos its pretty dry this week and it will be for a while. Now would be a perfect time for a short ER or similar feature to fill the void but I dont expect it.
