He was all about the way Alpha Protocol and Mass Effect handled choice, and The Walking Dead is a page from that style of interactive storytelling. It's doing it way better too IMO, maybe the best we've seen yet in games.Doesn't Jeff tend to play games that focus on gameplay more than story? I doubt he'd enjoy Walking Dead.
edit: It's not so much about not liking things because a lot of people like them, it's about being annoyed when everyone is talking about this singular thing you have no interest in whatsoever.
I agree with a lot of your points. However, in the case of Binary Domain, I think it has great characters and fun gameplay. Given how long Spec Ops took to come out and how lackluster it felt to play, though I only played the demo, it's understandable where Jeff is coming from.I agree, sometimes. For example the story in Spec Ops the Line is suppose to be amazing, which is something that doesnt happen in gaming a lot, yet he chooses to say its just okay because of the gameplay. For me though I dont care, because from my point of view I would say they could only focus on one big thing and they chose the story.
Theres nothing wrong with his opinion though, its why I love Giant Bomb I feel like I know them, and what they think about video games.
But there is times I love the way he looks at things. I would've never given Binary Domain a chance if it wasn't for that quick look. And he can pull out these fun obscure, also falted, experiences to light and its a great time.
Decided to livestream a little PSO2. Just a bit. Not much. Ain't going super late or anything.
Lmao, what exactly is he doing here? Just tuned in. Are those ham radio stations like they were talking about on the podcast last week?
Did he really? Damn, that's cool.Yeah, he seems to be poking around for number stations. So far he's found BBC 5 Live and the Vatican radio network. Oh, he also found a Russian station transmitting a message in morse code and managed to decipher it, which I thought was kinda impressive.

So glad there was a Jar Time today, perfect timing for a mundane project I was working on. Missed the radio stream, sounded awesome though.
Edit: Also watched the Lunar Flight Flight Club episode. Random, but meant to ask; what's wrong with Doom 3? Vinny/Dave made some comments about how they were disappointed with it but didn't elaborate much, and I recall Jeff isn't a fan either. I was never into the series personally but I was under the impression that 3 was super well-received. Was that not the case among fans?
Yup. He plays PSO2 for about an hour before switching to the radio.
Is it me or is the video quality for his Stream pretty bad? Found it hard trying to watch the PSO2 and it being really unclear and low res.
Doom 3 was well received. I've only played the peasant xbox version and remember quickly selling it to buy god of war on the ps2.
it was just boring to me.
Jeff has shitty internet bandwith at home so there's not much he can do right now. I know he talked about changing ISP but I guess he didn't do it yet.
I'd love to tell you, but I inhaled so much aluminum, ... in short, the government doesn't want me to remember, just that it's sunny outside. Ah, sunshine, my one repose. What's the story behind the chem-trails and aluminium talk?

Just now getting around to watching last weeks SNES marathon. The entire Lester The Unlikely section is absolutely hilarious.
