They weren't really switching every death or so, but Ryan took over for a couple of minutes near the end.
Well that's still not really what I mean. Just the act of switching people around gets them thinking about other things, leading to more discussion topics. Would help greatly when the game is a dud to watch like this.

Glad to see the pigeons.

I sometimes wonder if Ryan actually has any opinions of his own or if he intentionally makes up opposing arguments for the sake of conversation.

Still waiting for a Fortune Street rematch. Hopefully with everyone having a better grasp of the rules will speed things along, such as the fact that you can trade properties and not just auction them off or give someone an offer for a spot.

Do they even have a Wii now? Or the game? I guess Patrick could hook them up with both, but by the time he's back they'll feel obliged to play whatever new games are out then.

I thought they only had a Wii at first?

Hell, I'll drive over and lend them my Fortune Street copy. They're just across town from my office.

Holy crap I thought Vinny was playing Beastie Boys in the background but it was me with music at half volume. Made that last bit awesome hahaha

Fighting game TNTs aren't usually that good. Actually, online multiplayer TNTs aren't usually good. The best ones they've done are ones like Dead Island and Fortune Street. Maybe they could do online once a month or every other week or something. This week was barely an hour, and a good chunk of that was pidgeons.

Can we just have Ryan commentating on bird rape for a couple of hours for the next TNT? Maybe he can have his mask on and hope for some close up action.

Best TNTs are either
a) Them playing old games(especially stuff like 3do that hasn't been LPed a million times already)
b) Racing Games(burnout paradise and hot pursuit)
c) Them playing fighting games ( SF4 w/ Vinny, Dave, and Coonce)
d) Weird shit like Fortune Street.

Basically, screw the community unless cars are involved. The Skate TNT was pretty good too

The best TNT are usually the ones that involve heavy interaction within the staff (read: not online multiplayer) and/or titles that encourage emergent gameplay (read: games that you can effectively fuck around in). See: Dead Island.

I thought TNT was good.
Max Payne 3 sucks, but the conversations were great, and the pigeon fucking was just the cherry on top.

It blows me away how much the US misses out on the olympics though. Everyone should watch archery all the time.

I'm in the US and I watched that live. Then again, I have FIOS TV, so I have a bunch of extra Olympics channels.

I have FIOS and I think I only have NBC, NBC sports network, and the NBC Olympic basketball and soccer channels. Plus some coverage on CNBC and MSNBC.

I think TNTs are becoming more and more pointless. They are shorter than they've ever been and it just seems like it falls to pieces really quickly.

There are so many older games with still active servers they should take advantage of and revitalise the community even just for 2 hours. The Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts was one of the better TNTs because of this.

I'm not aware of Giant Bomb's regular schedule before December last year - were these radio shows ever a regular thing and were they ever more than people calling in more to get heard than to actually ask questions? At least the previous one they had had a theme, the site redesign.
