They just need to film facing away from the windows. The sunlight is killing the videos!

edit: What the?! Chuck is no longer ChuckNoLuck! I don't know what to believe anymore.

Yeah, the old "Chuck" got perma banned so Hitokage did me a favor and got me the name. :P

ILMs sucked before and they suck now. Just unnecessary piece of content. I agree that they are better now though.

I dunno, I think it's nice to know what they have planned for the week so I know if they'll be quick looking games I'm interested in or not. And with the new ILMs they'd probably have these kinds of conversations anyway, it's just that they're filming it for people who are interested.

Honestly I'm fine with either format, but I kind of agree that I'd rather have candid conversations than scripted stuff.

I like the new I Love Mondays, but I wish they'd use a better camera and mic for that stuff. Sometimes whoever has the camera doesn't put it on a macro whenever they're in close, or someone far off says something, and it's difficult to hear them. And I guess the lighting in the office isn't that great, either.

Feels like the interns did a better job with the impromptu camera work back in the old office. :P

Pretty much everything was better in the old office...

I just wish they had real cameras they could shoot the ILM videos with instead of... whatever handycam/iphone thing they're using. Then again, I suppose it's not supposed to look great anyway.

As a paying customer, it kinda sucks that the subscriber content has been weak lately, but from my understanding they're having problems with getting the gear they need and such? Or am I wrong?

but they say that since they moved to the new office (which was over 3(?) months ago).

I wouldn't hold out for much Dave related content until the redesign is finally live.

Of course as soon as that happens I will be demanding a week of all Dave, all the time livestreaming.

phantasmagoria was the best pc game they played so far need to do more like that id love it if they stuck all the way through a game they played not just a little bit of it then quit like the jack the ripper game

I think the outsiders to the segment ruined it, like when someone new comes to a 'watch a shit film' night and doesn't get it.

RPCG should be Vinny, Dave (maybe Drew) only.

You guys just wait till the big live live show where they'll announce that all subscribers get 3 free months to make up for their slow period!

Giant Bomb is going free to play and all current subscribers get 200 BombCash every month for the remainder of their subscription!

I don't get the fact that they still have a BLLSL again to begin with...

The BLLSL was a big infomercial for Whiskey subs that had ok segments from Giantbomb, ok segments from Screened, TERRIBLE segments from Comicvine and AMAZING segments from Tested...

Now this year we'll only have the ok stuff from GB and the TERRIBLE stuff from CV. That means that half the show will be a piss break/make dinner break and I don't need that much time to do that stuff...

Also, I don't really follow CV but do they even to subscriber stuff? Cause right now it looks like the whole infomercial would be for Giantbomb and let's be honest, it's not like Giantbomb has been good or really worth the sub since they were bought by CBSi.

We'll get the same 3-4 guests that come in every year to talk about Rockband and Double Fine but that's pretty much it.

I'm sure a couple of Gamespot guys will creep in the show but I don't see why they would be officialy part of it since the whole idea is to sell GB subs and not GS subs. Unless they decide to permenantly merge the two subs with the site redisign. It wouldn't surprise me to be honest and would simply be one step closer from GB being absorbed by GS like we all know it's gonna happen sooner or later.

You have to buy each members voice track on the Bombcast. You get the basic Ryan track for free. For the full experience, you have to buy the other ones though.

Now that's a free to play model I can die by.

Vinny is only available by preordering from Gamestop.

They were stupid enough to try to put the bombcast behind a paywall once, it would be really funny to see them try again. Sure would be entertaining to watch.

Isn't it crazy that Whiskeymedia.com seemingly hasn't been updated since way before the CBSi thing? The last blog post is from June 2011.

Why is this crazy? Why update the blog after they already sold their company and have no reason to pimp it anymore? Who is even left to update it now that they've cashed out?

Whiskey Media doesn't exist anymore so there's no reason to update it.

What's really weird is that, 6 months later, they still haven't bothered to take the 5min to create a new free skype account that is not called "Whiskeymedia" for the radio show...

The site still reflects the point in time where they were selling a package allowing sites to get in on their thing. I don't know if Whiskey Media technically was "bought" or just put out of business, but someone is probably still paying for that hosting and the domain, unless they paid for years in advance.

It's just a little like finding an old history book that takes for granted that you're living in a time where Nazi Germany is still a potent political power, if you'll excuse the parallel.

All the sites are hosted on Amazon servers, I'm sure the bandwith required for the Whiskey site specifically is nothing on the Giantbomb's monthly bill.

BLLSL is in September, right? I think I'm going to go on my month-to-month until then and cancel until they get things going proper again. It'd be cool if they did some sort of 'thanks for pardoning our dust' free x months of content as a gift for premium members but I doubt that would happen.
