Yeah I can always rip it off Twitch, but then I need to convert the .flv files. Kinda wish this stuff would just go up on the site. :(

Although, looking at his Twitch page, I can spot several other streams I've missed...

I need some GB content to watch? Maybe i'll start the Deadly Premonition ER again.

I actually just rewatched the DP Endurance run over the last few weeks, a few episodes here and there. It's still fantastic.

I'm probably going to watch the entire P4 ER again soon. Such a great timewaster.

Why am I completely unsurprised to catch up on twitter and see that Justin McElroy is on Samsung's side in the recent blogger fiasco?
Samsung India were complete dicks, but I can kinda understand his point.

With journalism, especially video game journalism, there seems to be two 'camps'. On one side you have industry vets like Giant Bomb who have been around the block a few times, value their time and only accept the few publisher offers they feel will enhance their coverage in a meaningful way. For every trip to Hawaii or Rome they accept, they probably turn down 5 others.

Then you have another camp (the majority of which are newcomers/bloggers) who piss everyone off by gleefully accepting any and all perks of the job (probably because they haven't yet figured out that these trips aren't really worth it) at the expense of the perceived combined reputation of video game journalists.

Reading that guy's Samsung recap, IMO it's obvious he rationalised far too many blatant alarm bells because he really wanted a fully comp'd trip to IFA.

Why am I completely unsurprised to catch up on this thread only to see there is some weekend fiasco dealing with bloggers and twitter

I swear these guys have too much time on their hands when not working

is there any chance they might upload the pax panel today?

This could just be Ryan's sense of humour, but...

Definitely a joke, on Jeff's stream yesterday he said the panel should be up this week.

edit: DAMN IT FUNKYSTUDENT

I actually wouldn't mind a dramatic reenactment. Depends on the actors, props, and if hand puppets are used.

I would hope so. It would be really sad if the only reason they went was for their own panel.

Do you guys even check out the "major" games (MGS, Ubisoft, etc) at PAX nowadays? I don't mean that in a negative way at all but it seems like it's pretty much only the panel and the indie megabooth that gets covered on the site every year. Just curious.

Jeff said:
Not really. We're primarily there for the panel. Any coverage that comes out of PAX is sort of incidental and is typically focused on things that'd be harder to get later. I suspect we'll get about a billion more chances to see games from Konami and Ubi.

There might be a video or two from the show floor or whatever, but even there is, it's probably not going to be much. But then Jeff DID just stream out of his room for like four or five hours yesterday, so there is SOME content to watch if'n you's is fiendin' for ya fix.

Just another fine example of gamer entitlement. Why in my day if we wanted Giantbomb podcasts we'd have to sneak into their offices, plant a bug, and encode it ourselves.
