Side note: anyone upset for being lied to when they stated that there would be a new subscriber video every day?

I am also upset for being lied to that the quick looks would all be 20 minutes or more.

Our editors provide commentary as they play through 20 minutes or more of uninterrupted gameplay.

No.

I posted a couple times in the past, but I really wish that a lot of the stuff that they promised and suggested last year during the SNES show and throughout other parts of last year came to fruition. Again, I know they have their reasons for why things have been slow this year, but you would think that with our premium memberships renewing BEFORE the big live live show, they would either extend it a day or two afterwords to let us see what they're promising this time, or something. The premium content this year, especially after the move, has been severely lacking. And, with the way this year has gone, and with John Davidson now gone from CBS, there really is somewhat of a legitimate fear that things will be very different.

I dunno.

Since it doesnt seem like it's going to change, who else thinks $50 is just too much for a GB subscription? I was a lot more ok when Tested came along with that, but now that it's just GB and they're struggling to create subscriber videos, it seems like they're asking for too much.

All that plus they're owned by a massive cooperation now so it's not like we're supporting a small upstart like we used to be. Maybe if it was $35 and they stopped forcing me to buy a shirt I don't want, I might stay yearly. But right now, it looks like I'm going to take a wait and see approach before resubbing probably with the month to month.

I would really like this as well. $50 is a bit steep for me right now and I really couldn't care less for the merch.

But, but guys you get access to premium content from Comic Vine too!

Has Comic Vine ever even done something labeled as premium? I'm not really into comics so I never go over there.

If they can put out content like they did right before the acquisition by CBSi, then yeah it's probably worth it. I personally just buy a monthly subscription and watch everything I missed archived since I usually miss the live streams anyway.

Looking forward to BLLSL.

Still dont know what to expect.

Is it going to be a big CNET show hosted by GB or is it going to be some kind of Whiskey Media reunion show like those depressing ECW reunions where everyone is now old and fat?

I hope it just focuses on GB and games. I guess Comic Vine has to have some segments, but those are piss breaks.

No terrible movie viewings now Screened is dead, no boring dude playing a bass for 20 minutes because... well, that just fucking sucked, etc.

I wonder if they will get some shitty local band to close the show like last year.

That was the worst.

I didnt mind the bass guy. Its a 8 hour show.... there has to be some filler in there somewhere.

It technically doesn't say video ;)

Also I saw Chuck (old) and figured out what happened. I'm glad you got that name, he was a jerkface.

Unless it involves the Harmonix crew, in which case, them closing the show would probably be all kinds of awesome.

Man, Burn: Cycle was quite excellent.

My one complaint is Ryan shutting it down. : (
Really had a great time watching this one, though. I hope Vinny/Dave come back to it at some point. I don't see Ryan ever coming back to it, but maybe Drew? Probably not, but who knows. I'm down for more 1994 cyber punk madness.

Dammit! I didn't know GB memberships auto-renewed. Fuck. I even logged in last week to check and it didn't look like it was that auto renew crap. Grrr... my fault I guess because I see how I can 'cancel' now. :(

how do i turn off auto-renew? help asap

edit: found it. pretty shitty of Giant Bomb to do auto-renew like that. I had to drive to starbucks with my laptop because i don't have non-phone internet at home right now. even happier that i canceled now, especially when i found out that Ryan was in the new random PC game.

Yeah, there should be a reminder email at least. I didn't mind renewing, but I was certainly surprised when I got the email.

Thanks. I did cancel in time but I'm pissed I had to. Giant Bomb needs to get their shit together on all levels.

Also you should try PMing Dave or messaging him on twitter. Maybe you can get a refund.

How are you pissed about this? It's not like they make it hard to cancel.

I can't think of a single subscription that I have that does not auto renew by default. At least they don't make you jump through a dozen hoops to cancel.

Seriously. What Xbox Live does regarding that stuff is gross. Whiskey let you know the sub will auto-renew when you upgraded.
Amazon prime doesnt auto renew. Giant Bomb also don't allow for any refunds according to the site.

It does actually. If you have one of those student or mom free prime accounts, they auto-renew.

I agree. They should send out an email. That is something you should bring up with Dave because an email a week before auto-renew is a reasonable request that I don't think they would oppose.

No games I care about, the inevitability (?) of a redesign, saving those points for a PS4. Yeah, no Vita for me.
You're doing the right thing brad. I deeply regret my vita purchase, also gravity rush is very average and boring. It is by no means a killer app.

Not even Persona 4? Or are you burnt out on people mentioning it over the years.

It's a port, yes it has new features but not enough to warrant the purchase of a new system. If he wanted to play that he could borrow jeff's copy and play it on his ps2.

God motherfucking damn it I just got charged for the year. I swear to God that I had cancelled previously (which I apparently had not), and I also swear that last year I got a reminder email like a week before which I didn't get either. Money is incredibly tight for me right now, this fucking blows.

Auto-renew is super shady but like some other folks have said is expected and all of my other services. But all of my other subscriptions (Amazon, Netflix, Gamefly, XBL) send me nice emails to remind me ahead of time in case I've forgotten or fucked up or something. If Dave or anyone from GB sees this please at the very least take that suggestion to heart. This appears to still be ultimately my fault, but I think asking for a reminder ahead of time on your auto-renew service is pretty goddamn reasonable.

The cancellation page doesn't want to work for me right now, although to be fair it might have something to do with it having just renewed me in the last few hours. Now I am scrambling to pay bills and credit cards to shuffle money around to make this work, and this may have cost me get Borderlands 2, which I have been looking forward to literally more than anything for over a year. So fucking pissed right now.
