Really surprised last night by how much I like all the community features. It's closer to Steam Community than XBL/PSN and surprisingly open.

Yeah, it looks like Nintendo's approach to online is sort of surprising, especially for them. Between that and the free patches, I'm really curious to see where this goes.

This makes me wonder: Does the WiiU do background updates, or does it update the system at designated times? Enough people are pissed at the PS3 for not doing it, I wonder if Nintendo figured it out.

Klepek sounded like he was just theorizing based on the ones he'd played, but my guess would be they're all online related. Sounds like several network features weren't all finalized until late in the process so wouldn't be surprising if most went to print without those fully implemented.
