They should make a Pokemon Snap for Wii U or 3DS. It'd make a lot of sense to me.

Was it ever explained in the cartoon what happened with Brock and Ivy? I remember when Brock came back there was a running joke where he got depressed everytime Ivy's name was mentioned.

Brock was lusting after civil servants, Tracey wanted some Nobel Price winning ass. He still wins.

The reasoning I had always heard was that, when Pokemon started making more money in America, focus testing for everything was done here. American focus groups did not like Brock (they found his eyes "disagreeable"), so the more wided-eyed Tracey was added.

Focus testing may have had something to do with it, but it sounds like it was a preventive measure more than anything:

This next paragraph is rather interesting. I asked him why they dropped Brock like a rock in the Orange Islands, and if they ever intended on his absence being temporary. He started to explain that they like to “switch up” the cast once in a while, and that was their first time doing it. Then I made sort of a “that’s obvious” face, and he started to talk for quite some time to the translator. The translator began to explain that the Japanese crew felt that Brock might be viewed as racist by the American people because of his eyes, and that they were even fearful of it when Pokemon first came to America. I asked if anyone ever complained, and he said no, but it was just that they were worried someone might eventually. So, they brought in a tall, white, Anglo-looking character to replace him, just to be on the safe side. Going back to the first interview with Mr. Hidaka, he had said they had to consider other countries when Pokemon started to go global, so this mentality fits even here, especially with the whole Jynx incident. So then I asked, “Why did you bring him back?” and he responded that “we realized no one really cared about it and liked Brock, so we brought him back.” It appears that if they had not changed their decision, Professor Ivy might have been Brock’s true soul mate.

So many precautions taken for this show just because of the Jynx thing alone.

Edit: So what's the fan speculation behind why Brock left Professor Ivy? :P
 
Brad's still the king of dying in video games. Getting lousy scores is more Ryan's wheelhouse.

And Jynx was pretty offensive originally, just because Toriyama got away with it doesn't mean Nintendo can :lol
 
Jigglypuff's insane appeal in Japan is something that never quite made sense to me. How the hell is it still at "yeah this deserves a spot in Smash" levels of popular?

I do like it though. It was the best part of the anime by far.
 
Is it just me or does the sound when you take a picture, sound the same as the QTE sounds in Shenmue? Its driving me nuts.

It draws on people in the anime because its singing is so boring that it puts people to sleep and it doesn't comprehend that.

Nonono, it thinks everyone fell asleep because they found its singing boring, what it can't comprehend is its superpower of sleep-inducing melodies. :P
 
I've spent so many countless hours in Pokemon Snap that it's moderately frustrating to watch them skip past all the secrets I know.

But at the same time it's fascinating to see someone experience it more freshly and not just go for all the secrets they've memorized.
 
Have they ever said why you can't change the video quality during premium streams? I really want to watch this but it just freezes every few seconds. Premium streams for me are unwatchable.

I think it's something about not being able to make the stream subscriber only if they let you change the quality.

I almost don't dare to say it, but sometimes (very rarely) Vinny goes too far with his effects :P

I was watching the Fortune Street TNT last night and it's peppered with animated gifs that are just a little annoying and blocking the screen for way too long. He has definitely improved his skills over the last year.
