As Ryan said, this is the first PS3 that is shaped reasonably. If it was 199, I would probably have bought one.

I forget to turn off my Slim some nights as it is so quiet.

It's not like the first slim is a luxurious console, crafted from the finest of materials. It feels cheap too and isn't exactly pretty. If I were buying a PS3 today I see no reason to not go with the newest one.

It's quiet in relation to the originals but it's by no means quiet. The fan is louder than any other device in my house aside from my desktop.
