It is his job to play and review games, that does mean playing games one may not like or enjoy. Considering he got paid for his efforts I'm not sure I would call it a waste.

British accents in games are always a bit weird to adjust too. Stephen Merchant's Wheatley is the ultimate one, just because of how natural it sounds (ironic, given the character).

There are definitely people on Gaf that do not like Giant Bomb. It's understandable. Anything that is funny to one person is going to be annoying to another.
