They wont play a visual novel. Chrono Trigger was bad enough with its text-only presentation.
Ah ok, I remember they had the twist scopes (so you can twist a scope to have 2 in a row on the rail) but I don't remember a side scope where you actually have to turn the whole gun to aim through it.

It's really helpful when you're switching from one type of area to another. Think about assaulting a compound from a distance. First you're going to have suppress targets hundreds of meters away from you (ACOG), then you have to breach a building (Iron sights), and then finally you have to overwatch an area until you're extracted (ACOG). It's easier to turn the rifle than it is to continually change optics.

judging from reviewers, do not play the sequel before 999.
Chrono Trigger ER was fine without any VA.

And because I played it in the wee hours of the morning and felt creeped out at times, it could be considered to have some horror elements in it. >.>

it's totally horror. Patrick will enjoy it especially if he played it at night like us. One ending really creeped me out. Couldn't sleep at all.

yup, Amazon had it for sale for $15 last week too. It's back up to $20+ but totally worth it.
I'm listening to the This Year for the 2010 Bombcast and I was reminded how amazing Silky the Fairy and Saucepan Man was.

Not just one ending, but multiple endings were pretty creepy for me. Headphones (music) + playing at 4AM didn't do me any favours.

Yeah Patrick 999 is legit freaky at many points. Fantastic sense of dread.
I'm just guessing but the P4 ER created an unprecedented number of new western fans for the SMT series.
I really like the music that plays while puzzle solving, it's like electronic ominous-ness... or something like that.

It's October. Scary games are relevant this month. What's the big deal? Is it somehow stopping you from enjoying the other stuff?
It was tense as hell though.I was playing it one night alone in tge dark and I had to stop playing. It was too much for me. This is coming from a guy who finished all Fatal Frame games.
