Because it's too awesome?OK, I'm officially over VR for now.
I really want someone to make a Diablo-style dungeon crawler on a giant VR table, but with a twist:
The table is in the middle of one of those Games Workshop nerd shops and the bosses you fight are model statues sitting on shelves all around you - but they come to life and fly onto the table to fight.
Putting that idea out there royalty-free
Nice shitposting.

If you enjoy life and find anything about games fun definitely shouldn't be watching a Giant Bomb stream.
Didn't mean to insult your hero

Seriously? This is the most in love with VR I've ever been.
Haven't been following the stream so far. So is VR DOA or not?
how's quantum break?
as a radiologist that is cool as hell
The possibilities!!
I get the feeling that you might rejoin us on the hype train when specific preconditions in manufacturing are met.I've just browsed through the thread and realised how many people seem to like it. Enthusiasm can only get you so far though. This look ''terribly' familiar.
Aww cmon dude thats nonsense![]()
You're too edgy for me.
Man, I'm getting the urge to replay Portal 2 now.

I'm an engineer for an imaging company and thought the same thing. That could change CT and MR in some exciting ways. For some reason the first thing that popped into my mind was a virtual colonoscopy. Strange, I know.
How have they not made the VR tabletop DOTA 2 spectator mode yet
In what way?
The play area will be much smaller? Or more possibilities for the controllers to have tracking issues?
They released a trailer today that shows exactly that. It's coming.
They're definitely cynical about things, but I appreciate their discretion and find myself playing a lot of games I otherwise wouldn't have tried thanks to their coverage. They're not for everybody, but it's certainly possible to follow them without becoming jaded or down on games.I remember back in the day watching Jeff play Condemed and following these guys pretty exclusively for a long long time. I used to have a pretty long commute to work and I started noticing a trend that the more I listened to them all the more apathetic I was getting about games and anything to do with games in general. I'm the same age demographic as the crew and so its definitely not a case of getting older. I shouldn't have said anything but they really are kind of a drag to listen to and I should know better.
I still do use a trapper keeper that has the battletoads on it so yeah I would have to agree.

As a fan of GB, I for one always allow their opinions to influence mine.

None of the games shown seem particularly deep or engaging over time, so in that regards it's the same as the Rift launch line-up. The difference here is a touch more of polish from Valve and of course the controllers which make 'experiences' and tech demos that much more thrilling.
Brad's the new Robin Hood.
Hand tracking for sure.
I would say the complete package/software.
Well the biggest reason they're having more fun is that the software itself is much better than the stuff on the Oculus stream. Roomscale and especially hand tracking are probably a reason for that.
Both, mostly hand tracking imo.
Okay. That's making me feel a lot better then. I have an Oculus preordered, and it seems like I'll still be safe with that then, because I'll be able to purchase the touch controls once they are available and still experience basically everything they're showing.Depends on the demo and what it is doing. But by and large, hand tracking is the big change.

I'm enjoying the Vive much more than the Rift.
Now to wait for Summer Lesson GB footage...
